Romeo is the child of Silas and Amara. His name comes from his mother wanting something romantic and Silas wanted a good old fashion name from the time they were born. Luckily Amara won with her getting the first name and Silas getting to pick his middle name. 

Romeo is very good with his magic, gifted, following after his dad. But with no epic love story to tell him where to focus that magic. He has spent his life, just moves from magic to magic, once he has mastered it, it moves on to something else. Nothing really keeping his focus. Apart from the steady girlfriend he had in his high school and college years, however that ended too.  

He has studied or had hobbies in 101 different things. he writes secretly romantic/supernatural novels (think tvd but novels - they are pretty famous in the outside world). He tutors people in magic and is also technically a doctor, having studied and passed his final exams and do the start of his residence in town (only for his heart not to be in it). Though mostly he stepped away from it due to the control drugs were starting to have on his life. The drug use wasn't planned by after too much time with different dark magic and a lack of focus in his life, they stopped his head from spinning. Stopped him from searching for that prefect thing he couldn't find. His drug use had become a 'problem' in the last 6 months but had been going on causally for 2/3 years. He had become an addict before he had even noticed. Taking over a year before he fell so deep into the hole that he had to book into rehab. Right before going into rehab he had started dating Lizzie casually. 

A few of his family (probably just his mother who then told his father - maybe his siblings but the family was keeping it quite) know he was in rehab, the rest of the town just thinks he disappeared for 3 months like the kind of aloof person he had become when on the drugs. His parents telling people he had gone into the forest to be with nature and would come back when he was ready. He has just gotten out in the last week and is trying to put his life back together since then. And his mother has pulled in a favor to get him a job at the front deck/receptionist/class planning at the Mikaelson College.

“They’re not bad.” Who was she kidding? Lizzie absolutely loved them, she was all about them. His joke of the cruel fate she forced upon the rose hit its spot as Lizzie’s lips lifted into a small smirk, the laugh emitting. “I’ve been told I have a flair for the dramatics.” And clearly, the point she was trying to make when she lit it aflame hit its mark. “Fair, but do rules really exist two months later?” She asks in return before she shakes her head, “Actually don’t tell me, I like surprises.” She considered his offer, his disappearance was for him to get better, and it didn’t seem fair to be mad about that. “You still know where my apartment is? Or should we try a map? I know technology is kind of lost on you so I won’t ask that of you.” Azure hues lit up with amusement - while she couldn’t be mad that he went and got the help he needed, she could be a little upset that he didn’t bother to call and she’d use that to her advantage as much as she could. “Friday sounds good though, I have an early weekend.” She made her own hours, but Kyle’s party was being held that day, all she had to do was set it up and leave him to his vices. Lizzie opened her mouth to say some joke about the D.A.R.E program failing the school systems in Mystic Falls, but instead she opted for something else. “I don’t…” She thought of the words to place, “I know we’re not serious or anything, and I’m sure it’s not really my place or if there even is a place - but if you ever need someone to talk to, or even let off some steam - I’m around. I don’t bite…. Well, hard.” The small laugh emits, “I’ve kind of dealt with addiction when I was younger, not personally - but my dad. And my sister, in a way.” Hues drifted to the barrier lines, “That was cheesy, but cute.” She gave him that, “But yeah, no. You’re not wrong. I think that’s why I’ve been able to tolerate it for all these years. There’s just those days. And to be honest, I feel incredibly selfish talking about my missing the outside world when you’re going through so much worse than that.” She chuckles.

"Only seems dramatic to someone that isn't looking to listen," he said. And he listened, loud and clear. Or at least loud and firey. "Though would you prefer to be thought of as dramatic?" He hasn't found her so. But that wasn't his call to make. Given his version of dramatic was his parents making an immortality spell, so they could be together forever. He chuckled at her question. "I think rules always apply." At least in this case, if it was going to lead them to another... meeting and possible date. He smirked at her words. "I think I know how to find it," he said. "Assuming you haven't moved?" He asked back with a tease to his words. "I think I just want to try and get back to normal," he said. Whatever that normal looked like now. "But thank you," he said. He wanted her to know that. He shook his head. "Don't," he said. "It's refreshing. To be around someone that doesn't... hold back. I can tell Amara is being extra... I don't know, but it feels alot like walking on egg shells around me. Plus it's different for me, I have never been outside this town. I don't know if you can really miss something you never had."

"I mean, after so long in a town that celebrates every little thing all the time, not noticing anything different seems on par." But his reason was entirely different than being used to it. That on top of the fact that his family didn't spend a lot of time in town. The amount of "horror stories" Lizzie has heard around about the Dimitriou family was just insane, because God forbid a family not want to live in a cookie cutter house with neighbors who had once hated them (Silas, mostly). "As fucked up as it sounds, if I had a boyfriend, I would have told you the moment you extended out the rose." In a way to rub salt in the wound. A surprised brow lifts when he mentions he bought her a Christmas gift - in all honesty, she didn't know if they were at that level and even so, his gift was placed at the very top of her closet, pushed into the back and forgotten up until now. "Oh? What'd you get me?" Curiosity would be her cause of death one of these days. She nods once, a small part of her hating herself for not seeing it and another part of her wondering why he didn't talk to her about it or let on that he wasn't okay back then. Male ego? Not her place? She'd be happy to settle on both. "Am I allowed to ask what it was that led you to that?" A traumatic event? Boredom? Pressure? "No rehabs for me." She tried to joke, lips curving up a fraction. "Just a lot of event planning. Been keeping myself busy. Trying to convince the council to take down the barrier, half tempted to just siphon the spell off myself." More than half tempted, actually. It was she, Hope and Josie that put it up. But with the magic that was already around - the dark magic. That'd be fun to deal with. "I'm not good at being trapped." She's tolerated it for the last thirty years, would let off some magical steam in the woods but the walls were slowly caving in. "And that was a little too vulnerable for me. So back to you. They let you out, so you're better? Maybe even a little?"

“I do enjoy all the celebrations,” he said. That was what has first cause him to notice Lizzie. The events in town and who was in the middle of it. “Feels like lighting it on fire was equally as clear a message,” he joked. But it was good to know in a way. Though he figured she didn’t need to ask if he had met someone since her. He chuckled. “That is totally not how it works,” he told her. If he could get her to met up with him again, he would use the gift for all it was worth. “What about Friday? I can bring it by?” He nodded when she asked the question. To say she could ask. Not because he had an answer. “I don’t know that I have one. I have always… you know dabbled. This time it just got- out of control.” Which felt like the same thing he had said last time but it was the only explanation he had. He smiled softly when she said she was being too honest. Only she would think a story about her desire to leave town was more personal than rehab. “I’m clean,” he said. Better was another question all together. But it was a step in the right direction. “The rest I have to work on. You know keep away from triggers. Don’t go back to drugs and alcohol.” He paused as he thought about the outside world. "I don’t know anyone that is good at being trapped. But I do think people make the different with it though. Anywhere canbe good with the right people.”

If he hadn’t realized it was February, he must have been completely lost in his stupor and that did nothing to ease the questions that she wanted to ask. But when it came down to it, was it really any of her business? Sure, a call would have been great. Something like “Hey Lizzie, just letting you know I’m not ghosting you I’m just going through so and so, so I’m dropping off the grid for a while.” That wasn’t too much to ask, was it? The hearts and Valentine's decorations didn’t tip you off?” She asks with the smallest of laughs, Mystic Falls still went all in with just about every holiday and non-holiday. The Grill itself looked as if someone walked in with a glitter bomb and just… set everything off. Ah, the gateway question. A way of asking if she had a boyfriend, without actually asking the question itself. She shot him a look, as if to say she saw through that question for what it really was. “I don’t have a boyfriend.” She’d throw him a bone and answer it anyways, “I have a client who wants to throw a big party for his girlfriend for something special.” Lizzie thought it was the worst idea ever, but she wasn’t paid to voice her opinions, just make it spectacular. “He ordered too many roses and the florist can’t store them all, so on top of an event planning business, I’m also a storage unit.” Which was also a bad idea, seeing as the temperatures in her office weren’t really that great for living plants, but thank god for magic. “Oh, cool.” Making sure the door was locked, Lizzie fell to Romeo’s side as she made her way in that direction. It was silent between them until he blurted where he had been, and had it not been for the gracefulness of her vampire side she would have stumbled a step. “So when you say you lost control, are we talking magic? Alcohol? Drugs?” She cast a look at him then, “So you weren't okay, then.”

He looked around as more of the displays came into his view. "It is seeming like something I should have noticed," he said. But it had only been a day or so since he had been out of the hospital. He had been taking it slow. "Wasn't really sure if I was allow to ask," he said honestly. It wasn't his right to ask. If things had been different, he could have been her boyfriend by this point. Assuming she didn't get bored of him or something. But no, he had messed that up royally. Though it was nice to know that she wasn't taken, even if just so that there was hope. "Though..." He paused given she had answered his question about dating someone without a scoff. "I had brought you something for christmas," he said. Which he knew how had totally past but it was the thought that counted, right? He looked down at her words. "No, not really," he said. He had been very very far from okay. He titled his head at her other question. What kind of control? "All of it," he said honestly. Though it was probably good for him that his ability to do magic got worse the more drugs he took. The two together would have been... far from good. "I was admittedly very far from okay," he said. There was no point dancing around that. "Though the focus is on the... you know drugs and drinking and such. I'm pretty sure magic isn't a trigger for anything." At least he hoped not. "How have you been?"
