>. "That's so nice! Doing things for your family...My family and I are the same. I couldn't even imagine a life without them---."
The brown-haired assistant gently tapped her heel while testing her balance, lips pursed into a contemplative smirk. She then settled into a calm demeanor rather than a mischievous one, clutching the tablet close to her chest as she reminisced about her own story to coming here again.
"--- My dream was always to make a difference somehow...And then I just so happened to have a knack for computers. Now, working with cybersecurity has become my favorite. Oh! I should tell you about this new project that we're working on, it's called Pano---"
However, she couldn't proceed any further as a distant, commanding male voice interrupted her.
"Bianca. You're not revealing corporate secrets again, are you?"
Miss Neroni showed slight surprise, her eyes widening as the group approached her and Monica in the hallway. Leading the group was Mr. Heckland, her boss and CEO of GrandTech Inc, attempting to impress new investors with a boastful speech.
"Mr. Heckland! Of course not..."
The sudden change in mood was difficult to identify, as she clutched the tablet tightly to her chest, gripping it so firmly that her knuckles almost turned white. The other hand deliberately adjusted her skirt, pushing it as far down as it would go.
"---Uh-uhm! Monica! This is Roy -- The founder of this company. Roy, this is Monica. She's going to be working with Mrs. Duvall in HR."
Roy, being the charmer that he was, spared no expense getting acquainted with the new hire. His steel-blue eyes inspected her diligently -- grasping her hand without even having it presented to him beforehand.
"What a delight. I'm sure you're going to fit right in at our company."
Mr. Heckland leaned in, instinctively drawing himself closer to her presence. This subtle move unintentionally sidestepped Bianca's discomfort, even if she wasn't fully aware of it.
"...I must say you got a lovely perfume, Monica. What is that--?" .<
