Port day in Cabo San Lucas, very fun town! Second stop of the cruise.
Started the year off with a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Norwegian Jade! This shot is Ensenada, and also first time taking the Nikon 1 J1 on a trip since I fixed the 10mm lens.
From Tuolomne River Regional Park.
From Travel Town at Griffith Park
From Travel Town in Griffith Park. A little bit of backstory; a lot of Nikon 1 lenses have a plastic gear on the motor that opens the aperture that will eventually break. It is a well documented issue, and all three of my lenses fell into this issue; 10-30mm VR, 30-110mm VR, and the 10mm f/2.8. After sitting on replacing it for a couple years, I got a replacement gear and opened up the 10/2.8 and repaired it myself! Quite satisfying if I do say so myself, but a bit intimidating, too. Though after watching through disassembly videos for the zoom lenses, those may be out of my comfort zone. Oh well... Anyhoo, this little set of photos from Travel Town is the first time testing out the newly repaired lens. Its so snappy and quick to focus!

Blossoming trees around Odaiba
I believe this was Asakusabashi on the way to Asakusa.
Lots of camera shops in Shinjuku. This one here is Yodobashi Camera (though they had several buildings around and honestly I don't remember if this is the camera-centric one).
These little benches along the river are so cute! Must be a peaceful place to relax.
I rarely take pictures of myself, and my mom always complains about it, so here is one of my shoes with blossoms strewn all over the moss-covered stone steps.
