3. Favourite scene

One of my all time favourite scenes from the movie is Veronicas dream, mainly the part where JD talks about killing duke to Veronica, and Veronica quips back “EXCUSE ME, i think i know heather a little bit BETTER than you do, if she was gonna slit her wrists that knife would be spottless. 🙄” I just think this scene encapsulates the absurdity of the movie so well. The delivery of the line is so funny to me too.

As for the musical? I might go with Heather McNamaras suicide attempt, specifically Elle McLemore’s version. McNamara has always been a very appealing character to me since i got into heathers, and idk i just have a lot of empathy for her and her struggle to be at the same level as her peers.

I think Veronicas character always has incredible facial expressions, largely in thanks to Barrett paving the way with her depiction of Veronica. With that being said i also love Ailsas reactions in the proshot, but i think i’m biased because she is the Veronica that made me love Heathers. I also absolutely adore Esme Bowdlers Chandler. Her Chandler is so charming heehee.

After skimming through The Ultimate Jason Dean, I've come to the conclusion that Heathers fans (or more specifically, JD fans) have always been edgy as hell, whether it be 2003 or 2026.
