Things you may or may not have noticed about Flopin (part 2)
he likes to eat. Like A LOT. I have not seen anyone point it out, but his character is really interesting in food. In the first episode of season 3, it is stated that he is the only one of his family who enjoys his mothers soup, and the only one to have seconds. You would expect to the iops to have seconds as well, since they have been moving around all morning apparently, but this is not the case.
Later on, in episode 3, when Echo gives them food in her prison, she seems to know. She does not give them food because she has to feed them, but because she knows that it will put her on Flopins good side. We can also see in that same scene how the only reason he did not eat without questioning was because Eva stopped him, otherwise he would have eaten it without even considering it could have been poisoned, which is weird, having in mind how analytical he is the rest of the season. Once Echo eats the apple and shows the food is alright, he makes a happy expression and starts eating once his mother gives him the signal. And he is not a picky eater, in fact I am pretty sure he tasted every single thing on that table.
It would interesting to consider that, in the future, since he will most possibly have super hearing and also a great sight, the rest of his senses would be less evolved, not allowing him to enjoy food like in his infancy. This could either go two ways: one, he eats whatever to stay strong and it is mentioned once and shown twice how he does not care about food because he would eat whatever, or two, where he eats pretty much anything and still enjoys food despite not tasting much, to the point where he builts some sort of resistance to even venom, since his body has growm used to it. This could be of use on my next point:
Toxine has a thing against him. We do not know where Toxine went or if she is alive, but given the infinite possibilities, if she ever comes back, she knows who to blame for her fall. Flopin was the one who pushed (at that point of the series I truly panicked thinking he was gonna fall with her) Toxine and make her fall into her own trap. If she ever comes back for vengeance, it would really interesting to see her realise that the boy is pretty much immune to venom.
Using this to push my "Cra's don't have picky tastebuds + in fact have just really insanely durable goat stomachs and can and will eat tree bark and get nutrients from it in a pinch" headcanon that started with Cleo eating tons of those raw squid with 0 reaction
@trollmarketreject thats a really interesting addition! I havent found any info about Cras and their stomachs, i like to think that this is a family thing that Eva did not get but Cleo did. The mistery is whether it came from Madagaskan or his wife.
