Very funny to me that Teddy is a hard sell as a love interest because of his age (20) when Peter (55+) is the most popular one by a wide margin.

Aww, thank you for being so sweet! It makes me so happy to see people so excited for the game to come out. Asks like this really make my week.
I'm afraid the game indeed needs "a bit more time in the shaker", as you put it. The initial response to the demo has been wonderful, but we also want to make sure we give the full game the proper attention it needs instead of rushing it out the door. The game has a lot more content than the original despite being made by a smaller team, so it'll take time :')
(If only we could include everything people have asked... But then it'd take even longer to be made hahah)
Unfortunately I can't promise a new trailer in the near future, they're surprisingly resource intense to make, but I'm going to see whether it'd be possible to release some material from the full game on the official blog soon - including reveals for characters from beyond the demo, and maybe some fun interactions from later cases!
As for the James question... The game will bring it up in places, but considering his vibe it's probably not a spoiler to say he's not much of a foodie. I think he's the type that dislikes anything greasy, fried or overly heavy. He's more of a snacker than someone who eats big meals. A big "grapes and crackers" type of guy. In other words, I am 100% projecting my own love of pickled herring onto this man, and nobody can stop me.

hi there!! ive been playing the heck out of BSC after stumbling across the LNLC demo, these games scratch some very specific gameplay itches for me that i really enjoy with beautiful art!! i wanted to give big compliments to the art team, your gorgeous sprites, the environments, the drinks! i love the UI design too, all the little animated elements are so elegant!
as a recent art school grad who wants to go into concept art for games i hope i can get sprites into a visual novel myself someday!!

I really wish I'd grown up with clip studio paint or like... started learning how it works when I was younger, because now that I'm an old hag that program just scares the hell out of me.
Every time I open it and I touch any of the brushes everything just feels so Off and I can't figure out how to do anything or what any setting means. I want to be able to use all of those cool texture brushes everyone uses these days but trying to replicate it in SAI is a nightmaaaaaare

Hi! I just finished the BSC and I see that there is an announcment for a new game which I could not be happier about!
I know with a new game on the horizon I know there is probably no chnace. But is there a thought to maybe to an expansion, DLC or update to have a epilog for BSC? I have fallen so much in love with Hugo and Peter that I would give my soul and several others to have more time with them (though I see Peter in the new one and honestly *chefs kiss*).
What is your headcannon ending for them? Does Peter turn his ife around or replace Karla? Does Hugo go home or does he stay?

Right now, there is no plan for DLC or updates to BSC, but considering that Last Night, Last Call is a (standalone) sequel, it does continue the stories of many of the characters - including Peter.
One of BSC's endings was chosen as the 'canon' one, not necessarily because it's more true or valid than the others, but because it was the best jumping off point for the new character arcs and storylines we were interested in exploring. So... In a way, I guess you can consider it my headcanon.
Players who indicate that they played BSC at the start of LNLC will get a little more closure / information about what exactly happened after the end of BSC, explaining how certain characters ended up in the position they are at the start of the game. Both of your questions will actually be answered over the course of the game (in the demo, even), so I won't spoil them for you here heheh.
DLC was not on the table for BSC, but if LNLC is well received it might be an option there, and perhaps that DLC could even be a prequel or take place within the time jump. The new game received a lot of quality of life updates and an overhaul to some of the systems based on feedback, making it a more solid foundation to build on. But, of course, it'll depend on fan demand and how well it performs. So... We'll see!

Hi! I read the ask about the art book and even knowing that it isn't something you're are planning to do, I'd also love to see some world lore in that art book. Learning more about Bukovia, its districts, history and other locations mentioned in the game would be amazing. And most importantly, thank you for this wonderful game and demo! The characters are fantastic and I'm really invested in the story. They're such a gem! <3
Thank you for the wonderful suggestion! If we are able to make an art book in the future, we'd love to include that kind of information. It'd definitely be a fun way to get to relay some of the worldbuilding that didn't necessarily make it into either Best Served Cold or Last Night, Last Call.

Hello! I really enjoyed playing Best Surved Cold. I'm happy because there are so many attractive characters in BSC. I've also played the LNLC demo, and I'm excited to think about meeting new and old friends when game is released. I have some questions. I think there are a lot of characters wearing gloves in BSC. Is there a character with a reason for that? I'm using a translator, so I think my sentence would be very strange. I would be happy if you could understand with a warm heart♡

For most characters in BSC, the gloves are mostly a visual indicator of them being more withdrawn, slower to trust or to lay their true selves bare, or not fully able to relax in the bar setting. Hugo, for instance, is never 100% at ease, always in work mode on some level... For Olivia and Maria I think it's more about them keeping a bit of distance, of not readily revealing their true feelings.
For Sandra, Hugo and Peter specifically there's an element of professionalism to it, of course. Not leaving evidence at an illegal establishment and all that... Though, for Peter in particular, I think it's mostly about covering up the burn scars on the back of his hands - which is why he still wears them in LNLC. They're probably a little off-putting to look at, and I imagine he doesn't like signs of his past mistreatment to be so readily apparent to anyone and everyone.
