People don't realize that serial killers are people just like you.
They are people, yes people. Broken, lonely, sad, people. People that have gone through too much, seen too much, hurt too much. Does this mean they are justified for their actions? Absolutely not.But you have to realize, they are broken. They are not all happy go lucky, deep inside they hurt too much for even themselves to admit it.. to themselves. They are depressed and lonely, and deeply scared.
Jeffrey Dahmer, he wanted somebody, anybody, just to stay by his side. To love him through anything and everything, he wanted to feel wanted.
Edmund Kemper he wanted to be loved too, by his mother. You know those loving arms you get to run into or that familiar face you can tell all your problems to? He didn’t have that. He got a mother that didn’t give a fuck. A mother that was supposed to love him, support him through everything no matter what, but only knocked him down and made him feel like he amounted to nothing.
Edward Theodore Gein was pretty fucked up too. Besides him being a mama’s boy by nature, his mother drilled it into him day after day after day, that she was (lack of a better term) God. He had is masculinity and pride stripped away from him everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. Regular scoldings from his mother, (he once got reprimanded because he tried to make friends) combined from beatings from his father that would leave his ears ringing and his vision blurry.
