Here’s the process for A La Mode’s animation!! Sort of. I had a ton of fun but it was a lot of work. I know it’s only like 10 frames but it’s all I could muster.

My funny little plush version of Papa Emiritus the Third! He was already sent out to his home so his 1.0 version is never getting an update ever. Every time I make a new doll it gets more complicated. He certainly challenged me.

I never did post my 'pro' photos of henry, but I will say hes still in sort of a 1.0 state, and there are a few things ive been fixing including restuffing his head for roundness and i want to redo his cape and sash. I also feel like he needs a little more hair.

I never made a separate post for Gabriels 2.0 revision but he got:

Yeah I dont think I have a dualscar in me... but Cronus was my first doll and I finally finished Eridan, so here they are together. To me they are happy guy sad guy. Even Eridans ears are kind of sad.

I definitely might make a more accurate hat later but I'm still on the fence about his hair. I can change it, I only use thread on it no glue. If anyone has any opinions I am absolutely open to them lol I want tips I want critique I starve for them when I'm creatively on the fence

Anyways Gabriel is only my 4th art doll so I wanted to experiment with the hair type... even if it was a gamble. Might be a while til my next one, I am busy busy busy

Patch Updates:

-Reinforced Neck

-Reinforced Body (stuffing added)

-Smaller Eye Buttons

-Mouth sewing thread replaced with embroidery thread

-Hat Remade for Accuracy

-Hair in front replaced with braided yarn

-Braided yarn threaded through thick blanket yarn for a more cohesive look

Fellow plush maker here who also loves bokumono! (My first ever plush waaaaaay back when I was 13 was Pierre actually)

I do really really REALLY love the hair though. If you’re on the fence with it, I’d go back and change his bangs to yarn. The fluff is GREAT texture for his ponytail but I feel it’s overpowering in the front. Going back and giving it more balance would help a LOT.

Your layering looks really, really good on your RF one, I think having a gradual transition from regular yarn in the front to thicker away from his face would be perfect. (You might have to buy different yarn to color match the fluff better though)

(Don’t change his brows though. I love his big ol eyebrows like he has in the game)

Oh that sounds really smart! Im just sad I had such a hard time even finding brown yarn, I guess it isnt that popular! Thats probably the biggest challenge I had. Seems like only michaels carries yarn around here (and I wouldnt trust an online color match if I want exact). And its not like i dont live in a very urban area its just like no one does yarn specifically. I got the orange fabric from a local quilting shop and scavenged the rest from my stash. I miss you joanns...

But yeah the eyebrows took me forever lol I couldnt change those if i tried.

Thank you for the advice!! I do kind of want to cut the hair shorter in front at least but I also dont want to trim too much and have to start over. We'll see.
