Angelica turned, a small but genuine smile on her lips,  “Thank you Dino,” the Domme said softly.  “And you’re looking quite handsome tonight.  Promise me you’ll let me know when you’ve had enough tonight.  As good as it is for you to be up and about, I don’t want you over doing it.”    The Domme pressed her thumb to her lips, before brushing the same thumb over his lips as she cupped his cheek.  “I’m honored to be here tonight with you.”

Dino nodded his head in understanding, he knew he’d just worry her more if he tried to overdo it. “Thank you, miss.” he told her gently, his shoulder relaxing just slightly as she moved to cup his cheek. He gave her a tender smile, more than glad that things had worked out this way. “I’m... honored as well-- even if I am not back to my full self.” He tried to not be frustrated by that but he couldn’t help it.

On Display

Despite the mask, Angelica felt a bit on display at the Romano Masquarade.  She was sure it was all in her head, and in part because she was here with Dino.  It was the first time they’d come out together since she’d moved him into her modest bungalow and the Domme irrationally felt like somehow people just…. knew.  And it always bothered her when people knew things about her if she hadn’t told them herself, or if she was the subject of gossip.  It was one of the reasons why she didn’t socialize. 

“How strange it is that even with a mask, I don’t feel very hidden tonight,” the Domme mused quietly.

Dino looked over at the domme, eyes moving over her face, checking to ensure that she wasn’t feeling too out in the open. He knew that they hadn’t truly been out together yet and this was the first time. But above everything, he was proud to be her date and be on her arm. “You are beautiful though, miss.” He told her softly, showing her that he appreciated what she was wearing and how she looked.

“Well that is a spectacular mask. Absolutely suits you. We appreciate you coming.” Silvius assured as he held out a flute of champagne to the recently arrived guest. “For you.”

Dino was doing his best to be up and about, though he had to admit that his chest still hurt and he was having a harder time getting around than he had before. As the man handed the champagne over, Dino held up a hand but expressing his gratitude. “Thank you, my lord-- but I must decline... It’s an alcohol free evening for me.”

Obviously the man wasn’t used to the concern he was being shown. At least not from someone he didn’t know all that well. “I can’t imagine you are. I was only mildly injured and I’m sure I annoyed everyone around me with my ill temper about it,” Ty said, chuckling. “But, if you are to get back to good form, I hope you are listening, yes?”

Dino found himself smiling slightly at the man, “And such is your right, my lord.” Dino knew that he was going to be a little bit of a terror if only because he wasn’t used to not being able to do things for himself such as cooking (a favorite pastime) or perhaps even getting dressed or into the bathroom. It was a thought that made him furrow his brow. “Yes, of course.” He nodded his head, “I am... lucky to have Miss Angelica to help me-- she doesn’t have to and yet she does.”

Ty chuckled at the question as he walked further into the room. Schooling his face when confronted with the reality of Dino’s condition. He’d certainly suffered far worse than he had. “No, actually. I came to see you,” Ty said, giving the other man a concerned smile. “I was made aware of your condition and wished to give you my well wishes in person. I am glad to see you are starting the road to recovery.”

Dino couldn’t help but look a little confused at that confession from the man. While he was aware that he and Angelica were involved-- he knew he wasn’t actually part of the Capulet family and was sure that he must have some others he should be checking on instead. “Thank you, my lord...” He said the words softly, his head falling back to the pillow. “I’m not... real happy about this.” He admitted. He hated feeling useless.

Trouble at Sinner’s Prayer || Calpurnia and Dino

Riots. In Verona. God, it was almost like it was a year ago and their families were at war again. Calpurnia had caught wind of the trouble and locked up Sinner’s Prayer with as much fortification as she could muster on short notice. Of course, that wasn’t much. So when a rock flew through her window, Calpurnia got well and truly pissed. She was angry, too, but she wasn’t about to sit by and let someone fuck up her shop.  Grabbing a baseball bat from behind the counter, Calpurnia kicked open the door to see the asshole who had thrown the rock prepared to throw another. “Hey asshole!” she shouted. “You gonna pay for that window?” The man was probably a foot taller than her thanks to her lack of stilettos, but Calpurnia wasn’t really one to be cowed. As the guy flipped her off and told her where to shove it, she swung the bat, which connected firmly with the side of Asshole’s head. He went to the ground and then suddenly there were three Assholes surrounding her. Fuck. 

It was probably a little bit of a losing battle, and when her bat got taken away, she realized that she was likely about to be in some trouble. She could throw a punch, but not too well. Her silver eyes darted as she backed up against the storefront so none of them could get at her back, looking every inch like a caged wolf.

She took a punch to the face that might leave her with a black eye–nothing too serious or even worth noting, honestly–and was about to swing back when she heard a man’s voice and was thankful that the three looked over at a man she vaguely recognized from having met before.

Dino’s aim had been entirely to get back to his team and go from there. He knew better than to get separated like he had, but it seemed like every time he got close to where they were stationed, he would run into someone else or some other situation that he needed to help with.

Running into this one, it had him immediately acting.

“Hey! Leave her alone!” Dino was rushing into the situation then, moving to protect her from the assailants who seemed to have zeroed in on her. He moved to push one of them away from the woman, trying to protect her from receiving any more blows.

“Just because everything is going crazy doesn’t give you the right to attack someone three to one.” He pointed out, keeping her square behind his arm. He watched them, waiting for one of them to throw another punch or perhaps maybe they would just back off.

Now fully moved into his room, Dino was going a bit stir crazy. Angelica had said something about needing to tend to some work and had left him to rest his eyes. Only, Dino hadn’t been able to get any sleep no matter how hard he tried. Maybe it was the countless machines or the nurse who occasionally peeked into check on him. He didn’t know.

Dino reached for the television remote and flipped on the tv when a familiar man walked into the room. Dino immediately shifted on the bed, surprised to see him. “My lord... Are you... Are you looking for Miss Angelica?” He asked him, “She went to her office--”

The Domme shook her head.  “I didn’t dislike it exactly,” she said with a breath.  “I just don’t know if it is cohesive with the relationship we have.  Or maybe it is for you?  That’s why I’m asking if there is something specific you’d like to call me.  That might give me a better idea of how you see this,” Li said gesturing between them with her hands.  “To be honest, I’m used to having my Dominant needs met with submissives that I’m paying and as such they only address me as Miss.  But that might be a me thing.”

“I suppose it just... slipped out.” He hadn’t really thought much before he had said it and he wondered what the line was with them. “But if you don’t wish me to call you by your given name then I won’t, miss.” He offered her a soft smile, “I am happy to do whatever is going to make you comfortable.” He licked his lips. He knew that the two of them were probably not going to be long term, just however long it worked for them both. “I enjoyed saying your name, but we could... perhaps... set up clear boundaries on those things?”

Everything had occurred so fast.  In one moment everything had been ok but then the front window of the store had become just a shattered mess.  This was followed by things on fire and Cat had run around to ensure all people within the store had reached safety.

The water sprinklers had functioned mostly though there was still smoke everywhere.  The panic to leave had caused many displays to be knocked.  It was one of these that had fallen upon Cat as she had completed a final look within the store.  She had the memory of falling to the floor but nothing further.  She heard a voice as her eyes opened once again.  She felt a harsh pain to her leg when she attempted to move and this caused her to scream.  “Help!  I am stuck!”

The sound of the voice had the man moving into action. He pushed himself further into the store, looking for the source of the clear panic. “Hold still! I’m coming!” He moved quickly but methodically, keeping an eye on his surroundings while getting to her.

When he spied her, he was moving closer, “Alright-- I’m here... Just take even breaths for me. I’ll get you out.” He looked to see what was on top of her before he was moving to find the best way to move it. “It might hurt when I move this, but then I can pull you out of here, alright?”

The riots were worse than Dino had thought that they would be. It wasn’t often that most of him and his coworkers worked the same shift, but it was all hands on deck and Dino was focused on his job.

Patrolling the streets and helping where they could, Dino found himself stepping into a store that had the front window and door smashed. He flashed a light and watched for anyone or anything suspicious. “Anyone in here? I’m a firefighter, I’m just ensuring everyone got out safe.”

“Then follow my instructions and obey,” Li hummed softly.  “But you’re doing well so far.  Don’t stop, but consider what I’m about to ask.  Is there something specific you want to call me?” she asked.  “I admit I think I’ve become quite accustomed to you calling me Miss and when you called me Angelica when you arrived this evening, well, it is my name, but it almost seems strange to me to hear it from your lips so casually.”  

Dino had full intentions on doing just that for her. He continued to lavish the woman with attention, his lips pressing hot kisses across her skin when her next comment had him pausing for just a moment. “I am happy with miss.” He told her honestly, “I suppose I didn’t give it much though... Did you dislike when I called you by your name? I won’t do it again if you disliked it.” Dino just wanted to please the woman.

Li watched hungrily his reaction to her actions and then to the ones she granted him permission.  There were times when the Domme thought she’d never tire of watching him, and feeling the way she responded to him.  She arched her back, titling back her head, a low, needy moan escaping her lips.  Li reached down, pulling his hand from her hip, a little lower than she’d mentioned.  “Good boy, is that what you are?”

Dino always desired to show the woman just how beautiful he found her. He couldn’t understand someone if they couldn’t see what he could. The moan he was rewarded with, had Dino sucking slightly harder before letting up and allowing himself to press a few kisses to her collarbone. His eyes glanced up as he felt her hand guiding him lower than she’d originally said he was allowed. “I want to be a good boy for you, miss.”

[text]: He did prod me a little bit about whether we were going to claim. I suppose he might bring that up.
