“Fred it is.” He replied with a smile. Noctis had never been one to use someone’s full name if there was a perfectly good name. He thought it might stem from his meeting with Luna all those years ago. He’d been young and struggled to pronounce Lunafreya, so Luna it was. She hadn’t seemed to mind and it had become a habit. He usually insisted people call him Noct too, so it wasn’t a one-sided thing.

“Horse feed…no. We have some chocobo feed back at camp though if that works?” It was just greens, so he figured it would probably be okay. “A strange mist, huh? Then am I right in assuming that you’re not from around here. As in, not from this world?”

It might have caught him off guard once, but after his own experiences of being uplifted and thrown into some other world, it wasn’t something to make him bat an eye anymore. Fred on the other hand…he might not be so used to the concept.

his head jerks up slightly.

Another world?

“I suppose, one could say that. Perhaps this is lands that not even the imperials would know of, that would, could count as another world.”

It seems his education doesn’t cover parralel worlds, but counts as continents for other worlds. though it makes more sense to think like that then any other option.

“Perhaps it is some ancient magic, It would not be surprising if there are magics that portal from one continent to another. I must remember this, surely this would be useful one way or another.”

As long as the guy didn’t give off Ardyn vibes, Prompto would probably welcome him with open arms. Gladio and Ignis would be a little more cautious, but as long as he didn’t give them any reason to distrust him, they would soon warm up to the idea. Besides, they wouldn’t want him wandering alone by himself either. They all knew what the daemons were capable of.

“Your horse? I don’t think that’ll be a problem.” If anything, it would probably have the opposite result. It was big, sure, but it didn’t look all that scary and as long as it didn’t try to kill them, he thought they would all get on just fine.

“Do you two have names? I’m Noctis.”

“Well met, I am Fredret, of the Lester family. Though I suppose if it helps, You can call me Fred.” his hand on the horse is gentle as a breeze as he guides it towards whatever direction this Noctis was leading him into .

“I don’t suppose you have horse feed with you? It has been quiet a while since me and my companion has entered a strange mist and found ourselves here.”
