Looks: Long messy brown hair, usually tied back, somehow always gets dipped in oil or grease hence the nickname. Tan skin. 5'7'' and 150 lbs. Muscular but with a layer of healthy fat. Usually in a blue mechanic's suit tied at her waist with a tank top under.

Maria "Dipstick" Martinez kicking her legs getting stuck in the engine bay of a truck because she thought she could get out and couldn't.

"¿Estás de broma?!!! I look like a B list porno!" She yells as she wiggles out. Inch by inch. Until she can toss the flashlight out of her hands and the wrench and actually get her fingers around the lip and pull herself back out. Yet still managing to snag her ponytail on a bolt on the radiator.

"Aye!" Her legs kick as she unwraps her hair.

"Do you need some help or will you be a stubborn mecánica? A very familiar voice rung out from beside the truck. When she managed to release her hair just enough to see out from the engine, she saw Valentino, a very well known Colonel on base, standing there with his arms crossed and leaned, staring at her with an unimpressed expression, almost reminiscent of a disappointed father.

He then continues as he steps over to her, hands now resting on his hips "How did you even get yourself in this situation? I thought mechanics knew not to try and crawl into the hood of a vehicle." God, this was probably very embarrassing for her, not only was she stuck but she was getting berated like a kid. (if I made you uncomfortable with how Valentino acts, don't be afraid to tell me, I'll happily change it ^^)

(this is fine. It's kinda a raunchy starter but I giggled writing it because it happened a few weeks ago.)

Dipstick narrows her eyes as she wiggles out.

"Well obviously I didn't mean to get stuck." She sasses, then clears her throat when she glances at his rank badges. "Sir..."

She leans back over to grab her wrench. Then puts it on her belt crossing her arms.

"Que pasa?"

"No mucho, came to check out what all the ruckus was about. Was hearing a lot of banging coming from in 'ere while passing by. Thought Camilla and Rafael were sparring in the hangar. De nuevo." Valentino shakes his head at a few memories of some incidents that involved that very thing, the Lieutenant and Sergeant were really one of the top things that made Valentino as irritable and grumpy as he was. He then looks towards the truck and says with an eyebrow raised in slight curiosity. "What're ya fixin' in there anyways? Engine broke down again?" He glances back towards Dipstick. (Just gotta say, the call sign makes me giggle every time, is it a play on for dipshit? Just asking out of curiosity ^^)

She sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose.

"Yeah... One of the recruits went bajaing and crashed into a tree. I pulled out the radiator and fluid containers but I need to check the rest of the engine. Task force needs it for next week and I'm praying I ordered the right parts."

She pulls the magnetic flashlight off the underside of the hood and tosses it towards the toolbox.

Valentino hums in acknowledgement, staying silent for a few moments before speaking up in a slightly light-hearted tone. "Always the rookies who get everything destroyed on the first day, ain't I right?" He shakes his head fondly, remembering quite a lot of instances of recruits instantly breaking or destroying something on their first day.

Dipstick nod in agreement with a small smile.

"usually..." She laughs softly.

"My usual entourage had abandoned me it seems. What's for lunch?"

Valentino shrugs and says as he nods towards the exit of the hangar. "Heard there's supposed to be some tamales today but knowing the comedor, it's probably gonna be some mystery meat, so I'll be makin' somethin' to eat for the team, if you'd like to come." He smiles a bit. He then turns on his heels and heads for the outside to head towards the barracks.

Dipstick drops her belt by the truck and the tools clatter loudy on the floor. Practically skipping behind the colonel.

"Don't forget to fill up the gas before dropping off your vehicle for inspections."
