Review: Discovering Sophie by Cindy Roland Anderson

          Sophie Kendrick is in search of her father who is missing in the jungles of Costa Rica. She needs to find him so her friend helps her in hiring a guide who knows the paths and ways in the jungle. Jack Mathison is not looking for a woman, especially after his past. But Sophie is not going to leave him until he helps her. From the start they are at the odds. But beneath their fights and sarcastic comments, an attraction is hidden. People who were fighting their whole way will have to fight to be with each other, especially when Sophie’s boyfriend is waiting to propose her when she returns back home.

 Who is she going to chose? Is she going to find her father? And are they going to make peace with their problems to be with one another?

            I fell in love with this book. From the start till the end, Cindy Roland Anderson’s writing style and story didn’t let me put this book aside. It was funny and intense at the same time. The characters have a personality, each holding their position in the story without being shadowed by the other. The purpose of the characters and their strengths and passions absorbed me in the story. The roller coaster of the emotions was fun.

          This was a light read with simple and clean romance. It had a little bit of suspense and romance and made me enjoy each and every minute of reading. I will recommend it to all the people who want to take a breath after reading some full-action-packed novel and take a time to read this lighthearted story with a fun plot.

Review- the Timeless Romance Anthology

    Christmas is a time of miracles and a time of love. And when Six amazing authors join together, it becomes the perfect treat for the readers. These authors bring their short and romantic historical stories in “A Timeless Romance Anthology- Silver Bells”.

    A Fairy Christmas (Lucinda Brant): England,1767. This story was a little slow for me, but overall had a very sweet and happy effect. I liked how Kitty is a hopeful person and her love for Tom Allenby is very sweet. They are smart and don’t rush things like many new-age couples and wait to understand each other first.

    A Christmas Promise (Sarah M. Eden): Late 1820’s- This is one of my favorite story. I liked that Maeve, a sister of two annoying brothers, is an independent women with an air of authority and Sean and Maeve are perfect for each other, especially when they confess their love on Christmas. This story shows that how one mistake and a one wrong turn can completely change your life, especially when that change is good.

    Twelve Months (Heather B. Moore): England, 1907-This was a beautiful story with the proof that miracles happen. After having bad luck twice in a love, Cora is not planning to fall in love again. But when her late husband’s best-friend Lucien cares for her and (for her husband’s last wish) proposes her, she was not expecting the love and a happy ending in her life. It’s a charming story that starts with being friends/companions and ending with the marriage.

    A Fezziwig Christmas (LuAnn Brobst Staheli): London, 1790-For me, this book was a little frustrating. I liked the story but the heroine, Pricilla was a little slow to understand the love of Dick for her. I like how Dick even when being poor kept the hope that Pricilla will love him back until he got her and her parents’ permission to court her. Finally the end was happy and perfect.

    A Taste of Home (Annette Lyon): 1913-This is the sweetest story of two childhood enemies becoming lovers when they get older. Due to some reasons, Claire and Will can’t go home and decide to spend the Christmas together. The efforts of Will to make Claire happy are very cute and make you wish you had someone like him, who would care for you and your wishes and make the Christmas day special.

    My Modern Girl (Becca Wilhite): 1924-A beautiful story of a girl Margie, who is trying to fit in the modern city away from her family and friends, and her journey to the realization that she is in love with a man she left behind in her home town. The cute way they stay in touch with letters and how Henry is the perfect guy, she dreamt about. The sweet Christmas story including silver bulbs with heart shaped hooks.

        Over all, it is a perfect Christmas package, with the best writers and amazing and enchanting stories to have on the Christmas Eve.

Review: Love By Design- Evie Knight

    It was my first time reading this Evie Knight’s novel. When I got this book, I expected the same old typical love story with too much drama and love scenes and no plot.

But honestly, this book took me by surprise and was totally worth my time. With a sweet and easy flowing story, the plot was continuous and without any confusions and breaks. Evie lets the readers enter the world of love, break-ups, struggles, fashion and betrayal.

“Love by Design” is a romantic novel with two main characters, Amanda and Tristan. Amanda is an ambitious woman who dreams about becoming a famous shoe designer and Tristan is an owner of a famous cupcake shop and is scared of commitment. Their meeting, their attraction and chemistry, and their growing love suck the reader in till the end of the book. With a Villain and friends, the plot of their love story unfolds slowly and gradually.

  I kind of loved the scenes that included cupcakes and temptations, which will not only arouse your sense of taste but will actually satisfy all your other senses and make your mouth water.

  With a little drama and action, A little tragedy and fun and all those beautiful shoes design. You are going to love our hero and heroine and their mental struggle to forget the past and to move forward. They teach you that love can conquer all no matter what is on stake. Because you will get a lot of opportunities for jobs and career choices but you will find love only once.

    *And another Plus point, the cover is pretty, sweet and sexy.

   I will recommend this book to all the romantics and the dreamers out there. It is a must read for all the readers. I will give it a 5 star.
