Jacey finally! I totally messed around with colours and stuff, and I like this result <3 this is his more chilled out look. The dude’s got a problem with his left eye as well, it isn’t as sharp as his right one. ^^ Next up his more ‘on point’ look, I have it drawn out just gotta crappily colour iiit <3

“So uh yea... gonna tell me why it is I had to say that near you?” He arched a brow at the woman. Seemingly, Jacey didn’t get the whole married for a week thing.

Blinking, followed by blinking and a bit more blinking was all he could do at the current point. He was having a hard time registering the words going through his mind right now. Staring down at the girl his head tilted once more, but this time in the opposite direction, while hues were directed at the oh so significant sticker. Releasing the grip against the goggles the young sniper took in a heavy breathe. “In what world does adding a sticker to a dangerous firearm make it age appropriate?!”
As a weapon’s enthusiast this was quite similar to defacing the walls of a church or something. It was a passion of his, and this chick was simply shaming all fire arms in the world with this damn puppy sticker. What a joke. Jace took a few more steps forward closing the distance between them, he stared down at her sternly.
“You even got the slightest idea on how to properly shoot that thing?” he doubted she had used it yet. “I mean, you know it’s not as simple as point and shoot, there’s ways where you can harm yourself as well.” the male shook his head. “Not to mention, a little frail thing like you...” He reached to grab the gun clear out of the holster, and was now pointing it at her.
“Looks like you were to slow to react girly, now what are ya’ going to do?” Jace smirked deviously towards the woman, slipping his finger to rest against the trigger. You can bet he also slipped the safety off.
The sound of the door opening was almost enough to bring the attention away from what he had been doing. But, no. Just a little longer. He didn’t want to seem at all anxious. Only when Sal spoke did the shorter male finally break concentration. Although, when he finally set his eyes upon his roomie, it struck. This wave of longing? Was it that? Jace felt strange. Clearing his throat and setting down the wood he had been carving he had been diligently working on. “So you’re back.” The male huffed out with a raised brow. Even if he knew, he could always play it off like he didn’t. After all he lacked super senses and what not.
Towards his question the brunette paused, his form freezing. He couldn’t bring up the words he wanted to speak. Turning his gaze away along with his head he let out a grumble. “It’s been quiet...”

Hearing the news of his roommate once more returning, Jace made his way back to the shared room. The entire place had been a bit lonesome without the company of the other. Sitting down on the bed, with his back to the wall, the younger male was in the middle of carving out something, not wanting to seem anxious, but he actually did kind of miss the company of the other man. So remaining ‘oblivious’ to the fact Sal had returned, he hid away, waiting for the other man to come to him instead of the other way around.
His movements paused as she went on about how eating with the crew and not holding any secrets or hiding anything of the sort about yourself was key to having a good relationship and time when on the ship. Which had usually been the case for for many, and on any other ‘normal’ crew. But Jace had learned the moment he stepped foot on this ship that those around him were anything but normal.
Glancing down at the small wooden sculpture which was beginning to form in his hand the brunette cleared his throat faintly. Hearing the distress that she had perhaps spoken to much. Head shook side to side in assurance, as optics of azure made there way towards the blonde. “You would think that, yea.” Adjusting his legs so they draped down over the sides of the barrel now, he continued to work on the piece in hand.
“But, I quickly learned that being apart of this crew meant many different things, certain boundaries are always tested, and i’ve done all that, but when it comes to eating.” He shifted his gaze towards the sky. “I’d rather die than ever even thinking about eating another human, that’s just... disgusting.” The male breathed out and gave a shrug.
“Because I am a doctor, I get my privacy, and that’s when I eat. I have some normal food, tucked away for my liking, it’s no big deal though, I’d rather focus on what I like, while I eat.” Turning the wood over in his hand he continued to carve over it, some final adjustments it would seem. “Almost done...”
His intention wasn’t trying to get the woman to fear her beloved knitting needles, but more so to try and open her mind towards their being other uses for anything than the primary and more obvious ones. He sensed that he maybe had spoken his words a bit to loosely, after all he wasn’t the best conversationalist on the ship.
His attention however continued to remain upon the piece of wood he was now delicately carving little wedges into, row, upon row, one after the other. Pausing he looked towards the woman, a smirk growing upon his features. So that was her name. You see Jace wasn’t one to pry, or prod. He really didn’t care for learning someone’s name unless they spoke it openly at first.
“Katey? Alright, yea I can do that.” Optics remained centered in on the piece he was working on, bringing it up to his lips, he blow off the bits of saw dust which had remained, working on a few more minor details. “Hmm?” He paused, was it really a wise choice. Ahh, the woman didn’t seem the type to want to cause trouble.
“I wouldn’t call it dividing at all, the others have their meal and then I sneak mine later on in the evenin, you know, like normal food?” He grinned. “Captain doesn’t know though, and i’d like to keep it that way...”
He didn’t have any kind of powers or a devil fruit so the male had to make due. One of his hobbies had included parkour it seemed. So when he landed it seemed with little difficulty, but also in a way where he wouldn’t cause harm to his person. Blue eyes focused on the woman as he took his seat upon the barrel. Lips quirking into a smirk, as shoulders leaned back against the building closest to him.
“It wouldn’t only hurt, i’m talking you could likely pluck an eyeball out with one of those things like a skewer to chicken.” A grin perked upon the boy’s lips before drawing attention back down to his carving, moving the knife around so that eventually the piece of wood’s shape was more of a diamond or tear drop shape. “All i’m saying is, don’t be afraid of something very obvious that can kill, everything can be used as a weapon one way or another.”
Taking a break to adjust the wood, he’d begin to take little slivers of the material from the small piece, carving out lines within the diamond shaped canvas. “Not sure yet...” Jace smirked once more.
“Kiddin’ you’ll see very soon girly.” Ahh it seemed he never learned her name, nor did he truly care to, it wasn’t as if she were going to come back around to see him anyways.
You could say he was both skeptical of the woman, but somewhat intrigued. After all it hadn’t been something of a common occurrence when it came to running into someone else with his skills on the battlefield. So watching her his arms leaned over the edge where he remain, perking a brow down towards the woman.
He still found it odd that one as she couldn’t possibly think of something more interesting to do. Then again, he was told that his carving and choice of combining weapons was odd. He could have been out on the deck, hanging out with his crew, but instead he liked to do his own things. Not exactly a social butterfly this one. Even meals had been eaten on his lonesome.
As he played with the blade, opening it and swinging it closed, he one more peered down towards her. “you’re afraid of knives?” Wow, okay so she was totally creeping up on that weird chart again. But, still, carving wasn’t in any way violent, not any more than her knitting needles. “You know, those needles of yours? They can do some damage to people just the same as my knife here.”
Towards her invitation he’d not answer but instead tucked his knife into pocket, leaping down onto the extended portion of the mast, and dropping down from there, landing just a few feet away from the woman. “Ever see what kinda damage they can do? Imagine shoving that in someone’s eye.” A chuckle escaped his lips as he moved to sit down against a barrel resting near to them, pulling out a piece of wood from his pocket.
“No promises that it’ll be an interesting chat.” he shrugged, and pulled out his knife, beginning to carve off portions of the wood.
Was this chick for real? As if he’d want to be seen wearing some mittens of sorts, or a scarf. Shaking his head the sharpshooter adjusted his shoulders. “Well I find that weird, it’s kind of a contrast of what’cha do for a living though is it not?” Jace chuckled at the mention that her knitting or the mere mention of it had upset him. It was more like amused. “Don’t waste yer’ time.” he’d huff out and drew his attention away from the blonde.
He wasn’t exactly the best with small talk, or any talk for that matter, unless it involved weapons, or medical experience. Fingers once more fidgeted with the goggles resting against the top of his head. Though he did find it hard to believe that she couldn’t think up anything more than knitting to pass the time.
Tucking his hand into the pocket of his pants, a knife was drawn from it, and flipped open, revealing the blade. “Ya could always carve somethin’ ever try that?” I mean he didn’t care, but something as lame as knitting? The others wouldn’t have the patience to carve, he had tried many times to show them, and it usually ended up being in the shape of something perverse, or burnt to a crisp.

There was a lack of movement or motivation for that matter when the woman had taken to a not so graceful landing. Directing his eyes away the sniper tilted his head back, pressing his head against the mast, and allowing one arm to dangle limply alongside of him. Fingers reached up to adjust the goggles upon his head, a motion which was of idle movements, as well as an indication he wasn’t exactly comfortable in a situation.
Jace had known why the woman came around, and even if his being on the ship at first was unnerving, and unfair, the boy had grown rather fond of his crew mates. Even if only a little. So the likely hood of him protecting Michi or any of them was very, very high. When Katey carried on about knitting while waiting the boy arched a brow. “Wait... come again. Did you just say knitting?”
Now Jace was amused. A cocky smirk rose up the corner of his lips as head tilted forward once more. “Yea, the name’s Jace.” he shrugged his shoulders. “Oh, i’m always here, I just prefer not to be seen.” And that had been the truth. “Anyways, back to this knitting, why the hell...” He was honestly baffled, he would have never thought this girl would reveal such things.
“You’re one weird chick, ya know that right?” A chuckle passed his lips.

He had been seeing the woman more and more frequently these days. Even if it were from his safe hide away upon the crows nest, and from afar, he couldn’t help but notice the presence of the zoan user. Often he’d peak over the railing of his perch, to peer down at the where abouts of his Captain and crew, but never rushed to ever join them in any sort of occasion. He knew his place, and his reasoning for being apart of the crew, and it had nothing to do with the mindless man slaughter the others did so enjoy.
Making his way back to the mast, Jace paused upon hearing the sound of flapping wings in the distance. Was it her? Clearing his throat faintly, and leaning his shoulders back against the mast, while hands were tucked into pockets he spoke out suddenly.
“If you’re lookin’ for the Captain and others, they are off hunting.” Such poor timing on her behalf, but Jace wasn’t about to assure her that she could stick around. He wasn’t as interesting as Michi, Sal or Deacon, not in the slightest. “I’d give it a few hours, then you should try again.”

A kind smile spread across the man’s face, “Hmm no. Just felt the need to touch you.” Cerulean orbs glanced over the smaller man features before looking down to his hands. Bending over a bit he tried to get a better view of the item, “Carving something?” That was one sure fire way to get Jasper’s interest.
A man, like he, who enjoyed the beauty of art couldn’t help himself once he saw someone trying to create something from nothing, “Mind if I have a look?” Oh how he hoped the shorter would let him.
Jace gave the other quite a look as he stared the much taller individual down. If it were one thing he hated it was contact of another person, especially a stranger. “Don’t you have anyone else to touch?” he muttered out within an annoyed tone of voice, his hands gripping firmly against the knife, as it carefully carved along the edges of the wood. “Yeah... sure--” He’d huff out, the raven haired man was not exactly in the best of moods.
Holding out the small sculpture which seemed to be that of a reptile or a dragon, he’d peer up at Jasper. “Makin’ a gift for a friend, it’s whatever.” He decided he would explain himself before being questioned. “Satisfied?” good he hoped so, the sooner he was, the sooner the dude would leave.

Stares right up at the massive dude with a narrowed gaze. Fingers wrapped around a knife as he had been carving some sort of thing out of the piece of wood in hand. “Can you not?” A heavy breathe lifted from the depths of his chest, while shoulders leaned back against the wall he was closest to. Perhaps taking a walk and getting some fresh air wasn’t exactly the smarter thing to do. He was quickly learning that. A man to much prefer the solitary ways of life, had to now entertain another person, great.
“Need somethin’?”
Again with this persistent curiosity of hers. Allowing yet another sigh escape his lips, steely gaze would watch the woman debating whether or not he should release his name, like it would make a difference. Adjusting the goggles upon his forehead he let his arm drop before speaking.
“Neither, I just don’t want to tell you my name, because frankly I don’t think that is any of your business-- Now lay off.” The former marine spoke out firmly and made sure to enunciate his words as serious as he could.
With that said and done he shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants and turned to walk away from the woman, not at all interested in continuing this conversation with her.
