āItās gonna hurt. Fuck, itās gonna hurt like hell. When you give everything you have to someone, and itās still not enough, itās going to rip you apart inside. Then itāll slowly start to get better. Youāll think about things other than them. Youāll find ways to occupy your mind. Some days youāll still wake up wanting to call them just to say good morning. Youāll still spend some days crying and listening to sad songs that remind you of them. Youāll fall asleep crying because it doesnāt feel right without them there. Thatās okay. Itās okay that it hurts. But itās okay for it to get better, too. Itās okay to let yourself heal. Itās okay to go get drunk in hopes that youāll get them off your mind, but itās okay to dance around your room in your underwear because you feel actually happy, too. Life isnāt going to stop. I know right now it feels like the world has stopped turning, but it hasnāt. Youāll make new friends and meet new people. Eventually, youāll stop thinking about them altogether. And you might remember them forever. They might have a small part of you forever. But youāll change. Youāll grow. And one day you might even wonder why you loved them, because you recognize that you didnāt deserve to be hurt like that. Itās okay to be okay.ā
ā this really speaks to me
āThe weight is gone. heās not in your life anymore. flirt with the boy in your chemistry class and talk about him with your best friend at lunch. realize how good it feels to have moved on. delete all of your old messages. delete his number from your phone and donāt write it down anywhere. stop looking for his car whenever youāre out driving. heās never going to pull into your driveway with an apology at the ready. heās never gonna fuckin miss you. and thatās fine. thatās fine. you can still wear your shirt that has that band he likes because he doesnāt own anything in your life. you can still see that basketball logo without feeling like throwing up. he doesnāt own that either. itās okay to miss it sometimes. but never try to go back. donāt romanticize this past year because he never loved you. and you never loved him. you were just kids, thatās all. you didnāt know any better. you couldnāt have.ā
ā he was never that good at caring anywayā lily rain
and he said, ājust donāt wait up for me. you need to live your lifeā
so she pulled her hair back,
deleted his number,
and did exactly that
So far Iāve spent 11 years fighting a disease with a mind of its own 11 years of scars that each tell a story and 11 years of fighting. 11 years later and I no longer hide that side of me. Iām not scared of the ignorance of others because I am proud of my journey and as much as I hate having this disease it has made me stronger than I ever imagined I could be So hereās to me, the fighter
The thing is, thereās times when you think you wonāt survive -but you do. And thereās times when you think you arenāt strong enough to carry on -but you do. And there are times when each inch of your body is trembling, and aching, at the thought of him with her- but you survive that too. And I guess what iām trying to say is that you think you wonāt survive things, and then you do- just like youāre going to survive this. You are a survivor, my dear.

āI put myself through hell, I went there and I saw what it looked like and he was everywhere I got drunk, I blacked out, I smoked my lungs burnt and I cried my eyes dry I slept in everything he left behind, I cried myself to sleep and woke up in a numb haze I let my friends love me, I drank green tea with my mom on Sunday afternoons and gin and tonic with my dad on Friday nights I stopped checking up on him, one day I noticed I had gone all day without searching his name. I noticed that I didnāt care the way I thought I always would. I met someone else, someone better. And thatās the thing; you think you will never be so happy. I promise you you are wrong. There is always someone out there who will treat you the way you deserve, a hand to hold yours tighter, and smile to make you melt and eyes you can always be sure are only ever looking at youā
ā how i got over him
āSo I guess this is how this ends; No more sad songs, No more crying, No more āaccidentalā āsorry, wrong personā texts, I will begin to learn how to be okay without you, I will teach myself how to listen to our song without crying, No matter what it takes, I will get over you. So I guess this is how it ends for good this time, No encore, No second chances, Not again.ā

Donāt listen to that voice in your head that says you arenāt good enough. Because you are good enough, and will always be.
āAccepting what makes you different is so brave and beautiful.ā

I crave space. It charges my batteries. It helps me breathe. Being around people can be so exhausting, because most of them love to take and barely know how to give. Except for a rare few.
