ACL Reconstruction

Bio: I am a twenty nine year old female. I live in the wonderful city known as Brooklyn. The reasoning behind starting my first ever blog is to allow others to learn more about the process and recovery of an ACL reconstruction surgery. I was injured on July 5th, while playing paddle ball. Unfortunately I still am unaware of what to expect during this journey. I hope you will all join me, enjoy, and learn from my ongoing experience. Day 36 after ACL surgery, week five

Why is my knee still buckling!!! Ugh I don’t know if I need to be patient or what. Is this normal? I feel so aggravated, I’m losing my patience, mind and sanity. I’m truly the most bipolar person. One moment I’m happy my leg is getting stronger, the next I’m beyond furious that it’s buckling. Ughhh.

ACL recovery September 14, 2014

Who knows what day it is and how long I have been recovering at this point! Lol. I know this Friday was my three week anniversary of the murder to my torn ACL. So that means I had surgery.... ((Drum roll please)).. *ba-dum-tshh* 24 days ago! I just have one concern.. So please my fellow followers help!!! Why doesn't my knee want to extend down into a locking position like my other knee? Even while walking, my knee protrudes a bit.. Any advice, suggestions? I am currently letting the leg hang off a baby stool to help the knee go into locking position... I feel a bit of a stretch but yet, no lock.. But if this is normal I'm fine with it. So please tell me, what did you experience? When life gives you lemons, hang it off a baby stool. 💛🍋-L
