not that we know of so far - but we’re completely open to anyone that doesn’t have english as their first language! anyone that has a decent grasp on english/grammar etc. enough to be comfortable keeping up with posts and such is welcome on the site!!
spells are the every-purpose tools of a wizard or witch; short bursts of magic used to accomplish single specialised tasks such as opening locks or creating fire. typically, casting requires an incantation and gesturing with a wand. however, particularly talented wizards can cast spells without the aid of wand, although magic produced with one is generally more precise and powerful.

I address you tonight from inside the Minister’s office at the Ministry of Magic, London. To those who do not know me, my name is Bartemius Crouch. I am the head of Magical Law Enforcement and from today your acting Minister for Magic.
As many of you know and as many of you will discover for yourselves when seeking out loved ones in the coming days, there has been an incident. Tonight, we are not the only ones in our time.
For over a decade the Ministry has been at the frontline in the war against He Who Must Not Be Named. Today a new, unprecedented challenge emerged which will test all of us over the coming months. All over Wizarding Britain and indeed within the Ministry itself individuals were found to have disappeared. In their place, we have been joined by people of times that are not our own: two eras, both our past and, some say, our future. The Ministry is working tirelessly to ascertain the reason behind this emergence and to deliver Wizarding Britain through this.
For now, after an emergency meeting of the remaining members of the Wizengamot, we enter a new period of law and order until such a time as the Ministry deems the situation stable. I will lead us to that time.
On behalf of the Ministry, to those of you who have joined us, many of whom I am aware are uncertain as to how they came to be here: I welcome you. To those who have left their time and wish this world harm we send a message: the Ministry is prepared. This Ministry is stronger than ever before and well equipped to continue no matter what new challenge may present itself to us. You will not threaten us.
I leave you now with a reminder: be vigilant. Everything is not as it seems. These are dark times we live in and the Ministry is prepared to meet them.
Two eager, young pureblood idealists who were too cocky for their own good went looking for a way to restore the good old days of pureblood supremacy; went looking for a way to bring back The Dark Lord himself. No one knows exactly what the unspeakables from 2008 did; all they know is one minute they were minding their own business in 1957 and 2008 – and the next minute they were thrown through time and space, tugged and pushed, until they landed in 1985.

Millicent Bagnold, replaced by her younger self and therefore considered no longer capable of her job as minister, was replaced by acting Minister for Magic Bartemius Crouch Sr. The Magical Law Enforcement department taking control of the chaos.
It’s been six months and the dust has finally started to settle. Tom Riddle has been biding his time, slipping through the cracks and gathering his followers – old and new – waiting for his time to strike. The order sits in wait. The ministry are preparing for their first cross-era election and, all in all, it feels like the quiet before the storm. The Potter era thrust back into a war, the Marauder era taking a brief reprieve from the battle and the Riddle era looking at their future.
The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined with leisure. Thoughts are not etched on the inside of the skulls, to be perused by an invader. The mind is a complex and many-layered thing.
