Closing Ceremonies
Everyone was tired, but sated.
That was the general feeling Lady Yuri sensed when she stepped into the stage to make one last speech.
It was quite the roller coaster this year. The weekend had gone by in quite the flash, like a fleeting dream. And like all dreams, it was time to wake up and go back to reality.
Perhaps these last few days would be naught but a passing fancy, something to eventually forget.
Perhaps these days would stay with someone forever, eternally altering the course of their future.
Whatever it was that came, she would see everyone off with a smile.
"Thank you for your strength, your courage, your love and your laughter. Everyone's joy and tears will reverberate for years to come within the history of this festival. May your dreams be sweet and your dawn bright. Good night and thank you for coming. I hope to see you all again, next year."
The priestess bowed to all attending respectfully, signalling the end of the festival officially.
Above everyone in the night sky, flashes of light began to spray the world in colour as fireworks were shot up. The Taiko drummers were at it again, playing around for one last hurrah before going home, hoping to bring up the spirits of everyone around them. It's not the end, far from it
It was time to march to the beat of their own drum once more.
Until 2025 everyone!
