i’m like if a writer did not write and did other things instead
I'm like of a writer did not write but also never got anything else done
This might come as a shock to some of you but saying “I’m not informed enough on this particular topic to have an opinion” is about 100 times more respectable than being misinformed
I know in school they often teach us that ‘I don’t know’ is the worst possible answer and that you are better off making your best guess than admitting ignorance, but that’s because the educational system is a dumpster fire, and this is a habit that it pays to un-learn.
In a sense, I’m the one who ruined me: I did it myself.
Haruki Murakami (via quotemadness)
i like to pretend i’m a heartless apathetic b*tch but in reality i’m a baby who cares a fucking lot and emotionally invests myself in everything and is hurt 98.3% of the time
Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.
Neil Gaiman (via quotemadness)
Young men need to be socialized in such a way that rape is as unthinkable to them as cannibalism.

this is the kind of wholesome content this website desperately needs

The largest mass shooting in American history was a hate crime against gay people. Don’t ever forget that.

“No... I don’t fucking know what I was looking for... I was just looking to feel something.” She stared at the floor. “We’ve been fading long before I cheated and you know that, Daniel. I wanted to feel something other than the emptiness that came with small talk and silence. I felt as if you didn’t even want me around anymore... I felt as if you were sick of me...” She shook her head, her eyes filling up with tears. She knew she shouldn’t be blaming him for her own decisions. It wasn’t fair. Tears finally rolled down her cheeks while she listened to his reasons for continuing to stay with her. She didn’t deserve him. The guilt that she felt was so immense and overwhelming that she felt as if she was starting to not breathe correctly. At his next words, she shook her head violently, worried as she reaches out to grab his arm after he stands from the couch. “No. Daniel, please. Going after Josh would only get you into trouble. It isn’t worth it. You can’t blame him for my own stupid actions. You can’t blame him for me being a terrible person.”
“He isn’t a great man, at all, but that’s not exactly what I was looking for when I started an affair.” She said bluntly. She ran her fingers through her hair, licking her lips and sighing as she thought about the words to say in response. She couldn’t meet his eyes. It would make her feel even more guilty. “I don’t want to leave you... I don’t want to be in a relationship with Josh... I...” She shook her head, unable to make any sense of what she was doing. She had no damn clue, herself. “Why do you stay with me, then?” She asked, wondering why the hell he hasn't given up on her yet. Anyone else would have left already. “I am not telling you where he lives. You’re not going to fight him.” She said, knowing exactly why he wanted the address.
She stayed still as he touched her hair. She knew that questions were the only thing that was about to come right now. She sighed before looking at him. “Yes, he knows. He doesn’t care. He’s not really a relationship kind of guy.” She was getting annoyed now, but not only because of being questioned. She was getting annoyed at herself. She had no real feelings for Josh. She loved Daniel, she cared for him. She didn’t understand why she was putting him through this. She had felt as if something had been missing between the two of them for quite some time now, and maybe that was what pushed her to cheat on him, but it still was no good excuse. No excuse was a good excuse to cheat. Especially if it was on someone that you love. And now, she had done this repeatedly to Daniel. Tonight would be the fifth night she’s slept with Josh.
Emma steps into their front door, locking it after she closes it, calling out carelessly, “I’m home,” It was two in the morning, and they both knew where she had been. She hangs her purse up on the hangers by the door and walks sleepily toward the living room. She was tired, but she was also pretty tipsy and she just didn’t feel like going to lay down in the bed with him after she had just had sex with another man not long ago. So, she sits on the couch and turns the television on, mindlessly flipping through channels.
Daniel woke to the sound of Emma’s soft beautiful voice. He rolled over and glanced at the clock sitting on the night stand, it was two in the morning. As he went to get up he already knew where she had been. He walked out into the living room, slowly walking towards the couch and taking a seat next to Emma. “So, how was your night?” He spoke softly.
She tensed up when she heard movement around the house, realizing that Daniel would be coming out to greet her. It was always a little awkward after she’d come home from Josh’s place, since Daniel knew about her affair. It made things... weird. She smiled a small, quick smile at him when he sat beside her. “It was fine. Good.” She said, with a shrug, trying to blow off the topic.
