maybe this is a hot take idk but i feel like one of the worst things to happen in modern internet is the use of reaction images/gifs/emojis in place of actual words ??? nothing annoys me more than when im on literally any platform and i open a comment section and it's nothing but images.. why aren't we using our words anymore... this is one of the biggest things i hate about discord servers as well, nobody is complimenting anything anymore, they're just reacting with a little image and calling it good and for some reason that just really bugs me

im also aware that these are helpful tools for people who have trouble communicating so im not really talking about people who find it genuinely useful and easier, that's perfectly fine (i have often debilitating social anxiety so sometimes it's easier for me as well) but when i see entire spaces of the internet almost devoid of genuine feedback and from-the-heart commentary it makes everything feel so soulless
