Love the "hold my flower" thing but I feel he would have to add, "And don't - dammit Noatak /I/ wanted to kick their ass. Now look. They're all - is that a spleen. Tell me that is not a spleen. Noatak we talked about this."
Probably how it would go down :D
fuck tarrlok all the way to hell and back
what you say âbout me
Noatak, hold my flower
Family Reunion [closed]
Noatak nodded. The boat was not impressive but would serve them well enough as they made their escape. Clearly the thing has been used for other purposes in the end but any weapon could be potentially usefully now. Making sure his brother was comfortable Noatak started the engine, ready to get away. With everything he lost at least it did feel like he regained something similar in value. âIt will be like the old days again.â He said as the city disappeared out of sight. âI missed you brother.â
âI missed you tooâ Tarrlok admitted. âDo you have a plan? Where would we go?â
Theyâd be hunted, he knew. Going home would have been too risky, at least for now. And in the other nations theyâd stick out. It was hard to think of any place that would be safe.
Family Reunion [closed]
Noatak returned. Defeated, without his facepaint, having lost it all. He did have an escape, heâd plan to have one just in case. Revolutions where tricky and one couldnât simply hope all went well. It didnât mean that Noatak was pleased. All he had left was Tarrlok and he apologized once more when unlocking the cage his brother had been kept in. Now alone. â We can leave now, start over together.â â Please, youâre the only thing I have left in this world.â Words that weighed heavy and felt heavy. âI have a boat weâll have to leave now.â Tarrlok clarified, eyes set upon his brother as he awaited his answer. âTheyâll lock you up for good if you stay Tarrlok. Iâm sorry for what I did to you.â
âYouâre all I have left, too.â Tarrlok got up. âAnd being a fugitive sounds much better than rotting in a cell for the rest of my life.â
He had nothing in Republic City. Everything he had achieved was in ruins. Maybe it was fate, a new start for them both.
âLetâs get out of here.â
Family Reunion [closed]
The sad smile spoke more to Noatak than he would ever care to admit. It was hard to see the brother he cared for suffer. Putting the mask back on he sighed. âIâm sorry Tarrlok, soon the world will be a better place and youâll stop missing it. Bending is a burden, youâll see.â He left giving clear orders that Tarrlok was to be given whatever he wanted to be comfortable. Little did he know that when he would return heâd take his brother as the last thing he had left. Having lost all heâd buildup in the past and seeing al his plans gone by the avatar. It hurt, it hurt more than he could grasp and he refused to see her getting his brother. He refused to let them have Tarrlok and lock him away.
Tarrlok just waited for him to return. He didnât have much else to do.
There was no point in trying to talk to the Equalist mooks who brought him food. They believed in Amon so much. The way he once believed in him, when they were kids.
What he didnât expect at all was the Avatar and her pet firebender to show up. of course, Korra being Korra, it was kind of predictable sheâd try to storm the castle.
Dark Side [SW/LoK crossover]
A smile seemed to tug at the corners of Noatakâs mouth. He always had more of a passion for the hunt than the actual fight. Nothing was more satisfying than driving your opponent into a corner, have them know the end is near and cling to useless hope of a rescue so dearly before the life was taken from them. The fight in between just filled his own thoughts of superiority. Superiority he sometimes, in secret, even felt over his younger brother that stood beside him. â If youâre ready we can leave.â He decided, not wanting to take guards or backup. It would just be Tarrlok and him fighting this battle. Putting his hood and mask back on Noatak started to move, waiting for the loading deck to open up, giving last orders before their departure.
Tarrlok got ready and followed him. He had always admired his brotherâs skill, his certainty. Noatak was everything he aspired to be. The paragon of the Dark Side.
Soon, the shipâs deck opened. He scanned the area with the Force before they would walk out. He didnât sense immediate danger, but he was ready nevertheless.
He walked out, following Noatak. It was cold and windy.
Nobody loves Tarrlok, but I love Tarrlok. I will love Tarrlok to make up for everyone else.
we are a minority but there are some people who love him!

//Yes, of course. Iâd be happy to. I am pretty sure we did, but I was on leave for a little while because I got busy with real life stuff and wasnât able to roleplay much.
this is my Tarrlok :D
maybe the never-gets-old âwhat if they livedâ? or maybe one where Tarrlok goes with Korra and Mako to confront Amon?
Any of those ideas would be fine with me.
Should I make a starter? Or maybe two?

Donât ever ask me âscumtrout what are your thoughts on bloodbenders?â because I wonât shut the eff up.
*slips 5000 yuans*Â
Thank you for the generous donation to the scumtrout cause.
Iâve seen a lot of people say that bloodbending canât be all that bad compared to, say, setting someone on fire, and I think itâs worth pointing out that characters only seem to bloodbend when theyâre in a bad place mentally. Itâs a technique that gets used whenever someoneâs feeling 1) angry, 2) sadistic, 3) frightened, or 4) all of the above, and⌠You know, technically you could use bloodbending to rescue kittens from trees if you wanted, but it doesnât bode well when the technique seems linked to a negative emotional state.
On that note, Iâm going to infer that bloodbending feels bad. Katara and Tarrlok are both pretty angry characters (oneâs a survivor of genocide, the otherâs a bundle of rejection issues), and yet theyâre both repulsed by it. So I would like to assume that bloodbending feels a lot like⌠Hmm, getting your own way by using excessive aggression at the expense of others, maybe. It might feel good at the time, and you might get a weird sociopathic kick out of it, but in your quieter moments, if you have any shred of decency or self-awareness, youâre going to be like, âWow, Iâm a narcissistic asshole and my actions were  unnecessary, and Iâve just made the world a worse place by behaving like a festering ballbag of a human beingâ.
So I like the idea that Katara outlawed bloodbending not because itâs particularly damaging to other techniques, but because the use of it seems to encourage something sordid and nasty in its practitioners.
You know how firebending can be fuelled by anger? I tend to run with the idea that bloodbending is driven by fear and the desire for control. Itâs megalomaniacal, but not in an uncomplicated, pleasurable âboot stomping on a human faceâ forever kind of way, more in a âyouâve hurt and/or frightened me and I want to reverse this power dynamicâ sort of way, so thereâs a bit of uncomfortable vulnerability to it.Â
Or: itâs not a 'pull the legs off a bug because you canâ kind of evil. Itâs more a 'hurt people and break things because you feel small and you want to be acknowledgedâ kind of evil.
And, from the victimâs perspective: while I donât think anyone would particularly enjoy being set on fire/pelted with rocks/frozen to a wall, being bloodbent must feel especially humiliating. Our bodies are the first things we have any measure of control over, and the majority of people react badly when their bodies go haywire in some way. Also AtLA/LoK is full of characters who are martial artists, so theyâre accustomed to having a lot of physical control over themselves. Bloodbending might seem especially unpleasant to them because itâs the sort of technique that can render years of training and self-discipline completely useless.

âDonât talk back to me ever again!â
Uuuh Itâs not very explicit but I guess itâs pretty much implicit that Yakone used physical violence against his sons. Â They were on supposed to be hunting trips, so any kind of injury and bruises and stuff could be pretended to be an accident.
If he wouldâve still been a bender heâd probably have tortured them with bloodbending for punishment and stuff.
What an asshole.
btw: this was done because I wanted to use a color palette from the perfect scheme(you can still see the original palette in the bottom) Â Piney suggested it would be a nice one for Amon :)

It would be interesting to compare bloodbenders and Dark Side users, especially those who arenât the mustache-twirling kind of evil but fallen Jedi... (also, how Kylo Renâs Force technique resembles bloodbending, even more than the Force Choke)
Also, I wish we knew more about Yakone. How did he end up such an asshole? He was probably present at the Siee of the North (being the same generation as the Gang), so heâs also survivor of the war, that might explain why he wanted to feel powerful, but he was completely corrupted by it.Â
