I wrote a little Ranboo and Ghostbur angst story based on a headcanon of the duo drinking tea together whenever it rains
TW: Derealisation
It was a rather rainy day. Ranboo was stood in the kitchen, calmly making some butterfly pea flower tea. He hummed softly as he poured it into two porcelain tea cups, which had been a gift from Phil. He took the cups and sat down on a pillow by a small table standing next to the window. He handed the second cup to the ghost sitting in front of him.
"Thank you Ranboo!" Ghostbur smiled at him. "It's no problem." Ranboo returned the smile, before looking outside.
"The weather is really depressing today." He said, sounding a little sad. He had originally had plans to meet with Tubbo and Michael today, but because of the rain he wasn't able to go visit him.
"Don't sound so sad Ranboo!" Ghostbur put his tea down and quickly looked around in his pockets, before pulling out some blue dye. "Here, have some blue." He handed the blue to the teenager, who gratefully took it. "Thank you, Ghostbur." He kept the dye in his right hand as he took a sip of the tea. "I'm glad you could come over, you know. These rainy days are always so boring without anyone around."
Ghostbur smiled. "It's no problem! They can be really boring, I'm happy to come over." Ranboo nodded. "Yeah, I guess we're just the 'bad with rain' duo." He chuckled.
Ghostbur tilted his head. "Duo? What do you mean duo?" Ranboo frowned. "Duo? As in, us two?" Ghostbur shook his head. "No, Ranboo, there are no two of us. Its just you!"
The endermans eyes widened. "N- no? You're right here! Ghostbur, what are you talking about?"
The pale ghost didn't answer, only staring at Ranboo.
"Ghostbur?" Ranhoo asked again, now sounding panicked.
The ghost still didn't answer.
"Gh- ghostbur?" Ranboo blinked a couple of times.
Ghostbur wasn't there anymore. The cup of blue tea was standing on the table, untouched. Ranboo stared for a couple of seconds, before tears started to well up in his eyes. "Right..." He took a deep breath as he tried to push back the tears.
"I really shouldn't drink any more of this tea."
