Christian Dior Haute Couture Collection Spring/Summer 1948. Stockings were first highlighted when Christian Dior presented his first collection. The bottoms, which either continued the dress's color palette from hem to ankles or provided a direct contrast, varied in tones from soft peach to inky black. The colors are called “Boulevard Banquet”. Here, a model swirls the skirt of a light blue crepe dress to highlight sheer navy stockings. March 11, 1948.
Christian Dior Collection Haute Couture Printemps/Été 1948. 11 mars 1948.
