STOP FUCKING REMINDING ME ABOUT THE WONDERBREAD KINK
A very good thread about how every part of John Walker’s uniform is designed to be as unsettling as possible
I think she’s reading a bit too much into this. The horizontal stripes resemble the US Agent comics’ costume, just without the corresponding white ones. Same with the asymmetrical star.
Same with the “double breasted” look, which has also been a costume motif on Bucky since WW2. Which is, like Walker, based on the comics look.
Cap also had a flag on his shoulder when he was with SHIELD, and his, y'know, entire costume is a flag. And Civil War outfit had an Avengers logo roughly in the same place a soldier would have their flag patch, until he tore it off offscreen.
Just like Walker - who is much more of a military asset - has a flag on his sleeve, because soldier. Both represent IRL flag patches.
I’m also not sure the mask is meant to evoke the Red Skull. Well, not entirely. Cap’s Civil War mask looked very similar.
Frankly, the ‘assembly line’ bit seems less like trying to figure out the symbolism of why Van Gogh’s room has two of everything, and more like the stereotypical English teacher. I think it’s a lot more likely that the ‘imperfect’ stripes are just meant to low-key feel “off”.

Even if she’s reading too much into it, it’s still an interesting read.
So I heard @markiplier broke his foot
anyways searching for apartments is stupid and im upset that I cant fucking afford ones I really like because they want 3x the rent as my monthly income and I dont make that much :(
make it make sense
I want to watch all the MCU movies leading up to Endgame in chronological order.
So tell me why the hell my dad tells me chronological order wouldn’t make sense simply based on the post-credit scenes which focus more on the release order of the movies, not the order of events leading up to Thanos snapping half of humanity out of existance.
bitch I wanna learn about the infinity stones and S.H.I.E.L.D and stuff, the post credit scenes do little to nothing to the story line.
I didn’t watch supernatural because it’s a monster hunting show but I never saw a single person talk about the monsters. bad sign
I’m opening a charity to reimburse anyone who watched more than 5 episodes of this show
I know it’s to save the VFX budget, but it makes sense that monsters would be able to blend in with humanity.
The whole point was that people didn’t know they existed and thats why Hunters existed. They were the ones who knew and could figure out who were monsters and who weren’t.
America’s adversaries are figuring out that America’s wokeness and racial neurosis can be quite easily used to their advantage
good on them

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
felt inspired to make this after reading some of the comments on my post about liking history
I think it’s really important for those who study history, both academically and recreationally, to make spaces for historical discussion as hostile to white supremacy and bigotry as possible. Make the space uninhabitable for them and hopefully we can clear the name of some of these really interesting fields of study.
Me, banging pots together: ODIN WAS QUEER, NORSEMEN TRADED EXTENSIVELY WITH NORTH AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST AND WOMEN COULD DIVORCE THEIR HUSBANDS IF HE WAS SHITTY, THE SCANDINAVIAN MIDDLE AGE IS NOT YOUR HYPERMASCULINE ETHNOSTATE PARADISE
>Greece and Rome are on here
>mentioning Odin was Queer
I hope the same people realize that Rome and Greece especially Greece was the gayest place on earth
>liking military history as long as you’re not weird about it
“It’s only okay to like history as long as you don’t make me uncomfortable.”

Perhaps pretending to be a small child is not the best look.
I think they specifically meant the Devil’s Advocate WWII nerds. Not in a ‘the Nazis were only following orders’ kind of way but in a ‘borderline boner for Hitler’ kind of way.
If not, then yeah you’re right.

The moment the U.S. presidential election is summed up to “which one of these piles of shit stinks the least” is the same moment that we should realize we fucked up somehow
This is the best thing I’ve seen all year (🔊)
Just when I thought it was over, it gets better and better
GUYS.
A vasectomy is a very cheap, reversible procedure that will block your vas deferns so that sperm is not released in ejaculation. It has little to no effect on the male’s behaviour, and none on their physical health.
Birth control tablets can be extremely dangerous for women. They can cause infertility, or, in extreme cases, death. Furthermore, they are unreliable and have drastic impacts on the female’s behaviour and physical health.
If you are in a relationship where pregnancy is an unwanted option, PLEASE think about taking this method of action, rather than using birth control pills.
You are important. It is not your job to take on the load of birth control when a better, safer option is available.
Stay safe, stay happy.
Vasectomies should not be performed with the expectation that full fertility can be restored with a reversal. “Your chances of getting your partner pregnant after reversing a vasectomy can range from 30 to 70 percent.” If there was a female contraceptive that impacted a woman’s fertility that heavily after she stopped taking it, there would be incalculable outrage. The common side effects of female contraceptives (which are not experienced universally; any gynecologist worth their salt would encourage you to try different methods and types (a very wide variety of options exist these days) until you find one that fits you well) are nothing by comparison.
And also there have been attempts at making male pills, and the results have been mixed, at best. Men aren’t biologically designed to go infertile temporarily, like women.
This isn’t sexism, this is science.
It’s ironic how feminists are now claiming birth control is a burden, because they don’t want women to have sexual responsibility.
Also, when a trial of a male pill made some men sterile and, possibly, suicidal, feminists downplayed the side effects to “oh, it made you sad? Like we have to go through all the time?”
They also claimed the trial was stopped because of the participants’ discomfort. Most of the men involved wanted to keep going, and the experimenters pulled the plug.
It was also somewhat ineffective; some of the participants were still shooting live rounds, so to speak.
EDIT: Also, society holds men socially and legally responsible if the woman gets knocked up, even if he didn’t want it either. Sometimes even if the kid isn’t his.
Women aren’t meant to be temporarily infertile either.
Stop fucking people if you don’t want to deal with consequences.
100% this but it’s a toothpaste tube scenario now until they make super condoms that melt the sperm or sonething
Spermacide has been a thing since the 80s but I’ll allow it.
Stop acting like rabbits without something.
I find it hilarious that feminists now see female birth control as a burden, when they were all celebrating the sexual and reproductive freedom they had been given when the pill was first invented.
Freedoms come with personal responsibility.
And as that’s something that they want to shove off onto someone else, those freedoms are now a burden.
Just throwing this anecdotal information out there. My mom and Stepdad had to do IVF for my younger siblings because when my stepdad had his vasectomy reversed something happened and he basically became allergic to his own sperm so his body was just destroying it.
god can’t wait for tomorrow so this can all be over
You jinxed it.
I can't believe I am advocating for this, but.....................CAN WE PLEASE GO BACK TO HARRY POTTER???? 😭
I think the single most offensive part of that entire roster is that Hillary Clinton is labeled as the Fallen Hero. What heroism? I get calling Trump the antagonist, since he’s Biden’s primary opposition, and if Biden’s the protag, well...
But Hillary is no hero, fallen or otherwise. Jesus Christ that sticks out.
She’s only the “Fallen Hero” because she lost in 2016
Trump wins Florida
Twitter: It’s time to be racist against latinos
its disgusting seeing twitter like “wow hope that hurricane destroys the trumps voters houses uwu”
I’m seeing more a general hatred of latinos, but especially cubans. I guess we’re no longer “good” in their eyes. Then again, I never believed they cared. Nobody cares about latinos :/
Schrodinger’s POCs. We’re white when it suits them, we’re brown when it suits them.
There’s a reason the acronym is BIPOC. Because they wanted Black people to have the top spot.
Of course, Florida is also heavily black, but I think yelling at them would be particularly blatant hypocrisy even for twitter.
For Twitter, yes.
For Dems, not at all
phrases in a tumblr post that cast ‘make people stop thinking you have a good point’
but y’all aren’t ready for that conversation
i bet none of you will reblog this
you know what? no. fuck this. fuck you.
as a libertarian,
‘I bet none of you will reblog this’ Well, not now I won’t
Any use of ‘latinx’
why didn’t I learn this in history class??
“We’re fixing up this spaceship that belongs to our new friend Meap.”
“Meap, he’s the most adorable thing in the world.”
“Really? Are you sure there’s nothing, or no one that’s more adorable?“
“No, not a chance.”
PART 2
“Okay. I jury-rigged Ferb’s old GPS device, to create a cute tracker.”
“It locks on to the cutest thing in the area,”
“so it should lead us right to Meap.”
“Let’s see if we can get a signal.“
“Got something!”
“Oh, that’s probably me. Sorry.”
“No. It’s three miles in that direction.”
Part 3
“Isabella, want to come with me and help me find Meap?“
“Sure!”
“I still haven’t gotten my”
“‘you wouldn’t know cute if it bit your legs off’“
“accomplishment badge.”
“Cool!”
“Let’s go!”
Part 4
“Hmm, I’m having trouble picking up his cute signal.”
“Phineas, since you obviously won’t figure this out on your own,“
“I think I’m the one causing the cute interference.“
“Don’t be silly Isabella.”
“I took into account your cuteness, and adjusted the cute-meter settings accordingly from the beginning.”
“See, look what happens when I change it back to normal.”
Bonus Depiction Of Me Right Now:
Part 5 (from a different episode)
“So, do I know romance or what?”
“what.”
“I said, do I know romance or-”
“I heard you.”
Part 6 (this time with Candace)
“So that’s Uncle Phineas and Ferb as kids?“
“That’s right.”
“And that girl looks like Aunt Isabella.“
“Did you hear that? Aunt Isabella!”
“That means I’m gonna marry Phineas!”
“Or Ferb.”
*clicks tongue*
We didn’t deserve this show
Hate to burst your bubble @scottsumrners but when they go off to college Isabella asks him out (finally) and he says yes. He was just that fucking dense the entire time. Ferb, meanwhile, was dating Vanessa, an event I choose not to think too hard about.
He blocked me after complaining about “enforced heterosexuality”.Some people are way too invested in this stuff
