Live from Manzi from the Gravity Falls panel! SEASON 2 PREMIERES AUGUST FIRST.
do you know when gravity falls is coming back?
So far, all we know is that it will be this summer. I would guess it will be integrated into the Animacation slot on Disney XD sometime in July or August!
Man vs. Machine: The Robot Show at Disney Television Animation
Showrunners and artists at Disney Television Animation Studios craft original pieces for a robot-themed art gallery.
The move that Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder are making to Disney XD is an interesting one. Currently, Disney XD houses a wide range of animated programs, mostly shows that weren't developed under the umbrella of Disney TV Animation but were acquired through the company, hence why we don't cover news on Randy Cunningham or Disney's Marvel programming. GF and WOY are produced in-house at the studio, which means episodes will still air on both channels, even though Disney XD will air new episodes earlier. While Wander is a relatively new show, Gravity Falls has already staked a major imprint on Disney's future in animation, so the move is likely a chance to associate animation even more closely with Disney XD and build its brand there. We'll see how Disney handles these series when they return from their hiatuses, but we'll still be covering them here despite the channel shift, which is really just an inverse of the staggered premieres of Phineas and Ferb on Disney Channel and Disney XD.
Hi, have any promo character designs or preview clips for Star and the Forces of Evil been released yet?
Not yet! The project is still in development, so your best bet to see tidbits from the show would be to follow Daron Nefcy’s (the creator) twitter or her official website @ daronnefcy.com, where she’s posted a handful of photos of the production team and the voice cast. Hopefully visuals will show up soon!
Back in December, Disney Channel Japan had their animation creators do a drawing for their 10th anniversary campaign. (View Alex Hirsch’s greeting to them here.) The above is Alex’s contribution. Stan’s probably supposed to be saying “こんにちは” which is “hello,” but uh, well… close enough?

Well, that's one mystery solved.
Alex Hirsch will also voice an upcoming character on Phineas and Ferb as a guest role, so remember, pitting these shows against one another is a moot point.
For those of you who aren't in the know, Dan Povenmire & Swampy Marsh announced at Comic-Con that a Damon Lindelof-penned episode of Phineas and Ferb is coming down the line!
The intricate nature of the mythology requires an extra layer of advance planning on the part of Hirsch and his team — it’s hard to course-correct once animation production is under way. But Hirsch, who provides the voices of several of the show’s characters, including Grunkle Stan, has had a clear vision from the get-go about where the show is going, Coleman stressed. The building mystery in “Gravity Falls” was as organic to the series as the musical numbers in “Phineas and Ferb” were to the garage-band sensibilities of that show’s creators, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and Dan Povenmire.

Season 2, it’s coming eventually, now with more aliens and plant people!
