looking at the models and as per steve purcell's design max's head is actually the same size as sam's, which works out perfectly for tucking him under his arm

meanwhile telltale max's melon head is so absurdly huge that sam spends all of season 3 trying to pick him up and hug him and it just doesn't work out at all. it is just not happening. whatever is happening here isn't it
