Hiii, I love how you do those collage backgrounds for your art!! How do you do them exactly? Do you use a certain website for different parts and pieces?

HIll!!! OH MY GOD! First and foremost, thank you for your question! Let's get into it!

WHERE DO I GET MY PNGs & HOW DO I USE THEM?

SO, i know you didn't ask, but as far as my paper textures that use, i really recommend checking out True Grit Texture Supply, they make a lot of really awesome brushes and paper textures for artists to buy and use! Definitely one of my favorite shops out there! I also buy from Retro Supply as they have some pretty good paper textures and brushes too! Some of the PNGs i use DO come from them, Specifically their "Office Supplies" pack!

OTHERWISE~

Pinterest (<- what i mainly use) and Google are my best friends! I basically just search up: " (specific thing / item I'm looking for) PNG " and start the hunt. Whatever catches my eye is usually what i use. I try to search up things fitting for the piece or for the characters themselves as it gives the collage a more cohesive vibe! But sometimes i like to get silly with it and just use things i think look good!

I just save the images to my iPad, and from my photo library i do that thing where you hold over the photo and can turn a part of the picture into a sticker, but instead of using it as a sticker in messenger i drag and drop it into my program (procreate , for context). Then i just resize, transform, or edit the PNG as needed!!

IF the sticker trick doesn't work to give me a clean PNG, then i manually insert the image into procreate and use Ole Reliable (The eraser) and get to cleaning up the edges my self! (Lots of work, i know... but worth it once it's all cleaned up!)
