you wanted asks you say? s3 predictions you say? i’ve got you.. how do you think each of the twins will cope with being separated for so long for pretty much the first time (disregarding the facility) considering their separation anxiety

I looked up a couple of separation anxiety symptoms and what it can do to a person experiencing it so this is how I think the twins will cope:

○ I think the way Taylor would cope with the separation anxiety would be to constantly talk to Logan or ask him to talk to her. She just needs a distraction so when the thoughts of dead brothers threaten to resurface and bring awful headaches, the urge to vomit and the feeling of helplessness she associates with her mother, she's quick to ask Logan a really stupid or silly question, anything, any words that can fill up the suffocating, bloody space around her.

Another method would be to think of happy memories with Tyler, not sad or scary ones. Them picking up clothes to match together, watching their dad cook, finishing a shitty movie on the couch - it helps ease out the anxiety.

She also wouldn't want to be far from Logan either, she gets comfort out of seeing she isn't entirely alone. Logan particularly is very soft spoken and gentle so she always feels safer falling asleep knowing he's around even if nightmares often chase sleep away.

○ I think the way Tyler would cope with the nightmares, possible stomachaches brought by the anxiety and the sleep deprivation would be to constantly occupy himself with some sort of chore. He'll try to figure out where him and Aiden are, constantly attempting to conjure up plans to get back, find somewhere to sleep, something to eat, does Taylor have anything to eat? Is she starving? Does she know how to cook for herself? Is she alive at all? No, no, back to the task at hand, Tay is fine, Tay is fine, Tay is fine-

Oh yeah, that's another thing I think he'd do. Come up with a little mantra for himself such as "Tay is fine" or "Tay is alive" or "Tay is not alone."

I also think he'd miss having something to put all his energy into - his thoughts, his urge to protect, his instinct to constantly be taking care of something for someone else - so he'd try with Aiden. "Need help with that?" "Want me to do this?" "Let me do that, you take a nap or something." "Don't go anywhere far, we need to meet up later." "I'm not being obsessive, what are you on about, moron!?"

Yeahh, I do think Tyler would have a slightly harder time being away from Tay but Aiden is so unpredictable and loud and never shuts up to the point I believe Ty will mostly have his thoughts preoccupied with a loudmouth idiot. Also, I doubt either of them would sleep much - Ty with all the Taylor-related nightmares and Aiden, well, he just strikes me as someone with a beyond fucked up sleep schedule. So I think they'd talk. And that would be when they're most genuine with each other. Aiden especially since, in the dark of might, he might not feel the need to put up the smile and the whole façade he has going on. And talking helps ease the nerves for both of them so there you go. Win-win.

I gotta learn to make things short because this is yet another overly long post, but I don't know how. I like talking and when I talk I want to say everything I think.

I wonder if Ben has ever unintentionally hit Aiden while he's trying to stop his cousin's anger from overflowing and causing trouble.

Maybe a kid was being bullied nearby, and Ben was getting all worked up, and Aiden knew he had to do something, but he ended up getting too close and received a good punch to the cheek or some such.

And suddenly, Ben snaps right out of his blinding rage and sees what he's done, and it brings him the most soul crushing sense of guilt he can't stand being in his own skin.

So, despite all of Aiden's reassurances and attempts at hiding the blooming bruise, Ben feels the need to make it right. He pulls a first-aid kit, takes out some bandages, and gets to work. By the time he's done, Aiden has forgotten the ache altogether, but Ben's not as lucky.

That day stuck with him, and for a while, it made him feel heavy and nauseous. So he promised himself to be the opposite of a person who hurts - he'd be a person who heals. So every time there's a fight, he'll be the one with bandages and antiseptic, not balled up fists and gritted teeth.

And perhaps that's how his journey of always patching up Aiden started. Maybe he never truly shook off the guilt completely, so whenever Aiden got hurt again, Ben still felt like he had to be the one who fixed it.

What if Ben was taken in by his aunt and uncle before Aiden made his personality change

What if Ben got to see firsthand the drastic change that his cousin went through, just to make himself feel a bit more bearable

What if Aiden still had his black hair and black eyes when Ben hit him

What if Aiden wasn’t as boisterously smiley about it as he would’ve been after he changed himself, what if that was a later development

What if no matter how much Aiden tries to laugh it off, change the subject, smile through it, Ben can only see the emotional hurt on his cousins face when he got struck

What if Aiden still flinches, not because he’s scared of Ben, or scared at all, but because of the survivalist mindset he’s always in making him feel like he can never rest and there’s always the potential for danger

What if Ben assumes Aiden told the others about the hit, because that’s part of his backstory, but Aiden ignores its existence because he knows it upsets Ben

What if this makes Ben hate seeing Aiden hurt in any way, angry at who/what caused the injury and at Aiden for not being careful, and at himself for not being able to protect him

What if Ben doesn’t trust Aiden with his own safety because he’s shown time and time again that he doesn’t care and is willing to put himself in harms way for whatever reason

What if Ben takes it upon himself to “be the healer” for both Aiden and the rest once the group forms because he’s trying to “atone” for the pain he’s caused

That’s not a face of someone who’s enjoying patching people up

He’s made it his responsibility, despite it causing him stress and mental strain

This has become a Ben appreciation post you’re welcome

Holy shit???? You actually blew me away with that, I thought I had already made it sad and then you went ahead and doubled the dose with the idea of Ben hitting black-eyed, black haired Aiden.

What if at that point Aiden didn't understand how deep Ben's anger issues went and this was his first time witnessing it firsthand and he couldn't help but just stare at Ben wide-eyed and shocked at first until the hurt on Ben's own face at what he had just done registered.

Ben is often shown to be worried about his cousin or straight up terrified of his impulsive, dangerous acts like when he looked all freaked out when Aiden jumped off that 13 feet tall wall.

What if he tried to talk to (text) him about it, ask him to stop being so reckless and putting his well-being on the line and Aiden just brushed it off each time as Ben "overreacting" because "it wasn't actually that dangerous" but all Ben sees in those moments is Aiden's black eyes filling up with tears by the sheer force of the blow he was responsible for before Aiden could blink them away. And what if each of those instances lead him to remember that was the last time he saw tears in his cousin's eyes.

What if that was the day Aiden decided he needed to stop showing sadness because Ben spent days apologising and trying to make up for it even though Aiden had told him multiple times that it was okay and he understood it was an accident but the guilt in Ben's eyes convinced him to never look upset in front of him again because he didn't want him feeling like it was his fault each time.

What if like you mentioned Ben feels so much anger toward anything and anyone that hurts Aiden, including Aiden himself, but he doesn't know how to confront him about it so he just keeps silent and hates himself a little more every time he sees Aiden flinch at anything even it had nothing to do with Ben himself but it makes him wonder if all that flinching started the day he hurt him?

Oh and he most definitely doesn't enjoy watching all the gore and blood as he fixes people up but he refuses to complain because he feels he is the only one who deserves to bear such a burden after hurting so many people before, including his own cousin if we truly believe in that theory.

ooo shi what’s your season 3 predictions 👀👀

Just did a post on that through another ask, but imma actually add some more here >:}

•Aiden doesn't know what his hair looks like for a long time until he comes across a mirror or smt and freaks out the second he sees it's almost fully back to it's original colour. Tyler tries to calm him down and quietly wishes Tay could be here bcs she's good at this stuff and he's definitely not.

•If everyone gets back together, including the parents, Aiden's tell him when all this is over they're moving away from this "hellish town" or smt and he gets so angry he actually yells at them.

•Logan and Taylor try to escape from the facility and their plan includes a lot of shooting.

•Actually, Tay and Logan will try a few plans to escape that don't succeed and it'll lead Taylor to think that Ty would do so much better than her and would have escaped by now and she misses him so much and wonders if he's okay and continues to spiral untill Logan hits with her a speech about self-worth and she pulls herself together.

•We'll finally get to see Tay putting her mechanics knowledge to use while escaping the facility with Logan and prove to herself she's more that just Tyler's twin sister.

•Ash will be so grateful to have Ben with her because she'll spiral into guilt, self-hatred and fear for the others so often but Ben's quiet and steady presence will ground her back to reality.

•"Find our friends first, feel self-pitying later" will probably become Ash's motto :\

•Ash and Ben agree for one of them to keep watch while the other sleeps in the phantom dimension and then they switch after a couple of hours. Ash sometimes wakes up to or falls asleep to Ben quietly humming to himself.

•Tyler never really gets a good night's sleep because of worrying for Taylor. Around 4 hours is his maximum and even that time is occupied with nightmares.

•When they're making plans for escape we get to see a much bigger range of mafia knowledge from Logan that's not only about guns but also the very thing they need - escape plans, distractions, the element of surprise and so such. (I mean I think so at least. They teach you that in the mafia, don't they?)

Headcanons and season 3 predictions???

EVERYONE DIES.

I'm kidding.

•I think this is the season we'll finally get Aiden's full backstory and I'm drawn to the idea of Ben starting it. I don't think he knows that much about Aiden's past either, but with them living together he must've seen the parental neglect and likely a couple of unhealthy habits of his so I imagine he somehow brings it up to Ash and she starts to get suspicious of Aiden's mental state lol.

•Tay and Logan find a way to keep meeting up in the facility at night and find some groundbreaking information while there.

•Ash gets hurt at some point and Ben patches her up. Maybe she asks how he's so good at that stuff and he starts to list all the times Aiden's shenanigans have gotten him injured.

•The phantom dimension is what brings all the separated duos back together. I don't know how but I feel like it would want them all in one place for something that's gonna mess them up really badly. They will have just reunited when the horrors kick up to 11.

•Aiden will accidentally slip up about something that has to do with his past to Tyler.

•Tyden talk about their deaths and start thinking about stuff out loud untill they realise something big about the phantom dimension.

•I imagine all 3 duos figure out something big about their situations - Tay and Logan about the facility, Ty and Aiden about dying and Ben and Ash abt their phantom selves or some such.

•We go more in depth about Ben and Aiden's relationship and past and get to see them worry for/miss each other. (hopefully this isn't just my wishful thinking.)

•The stuff Tyler and Aiden's phantom selves do in their dreams start to have an actual effect in the real world like if Aiden gets strangled by his phantom self again he will feel the pain during the day, same for Ty.

•Will be the spookiest, scariest season so far.

Uhhh I think this is it for now, hope this doesn't feel like a boring nothing burger or disappointing, I didn't have that many predictions before sitting down and writing all this out :_

TYDEN PREDICTIONS FOR S3??

I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD ASK THIS EXACT QUESTION

I have so many thoughts and predictions about them but they're all over the place in my head so I'll try to make sense and keep it short.

• They will have a minor fight about getting lost at first but they'll pull themselves together pretty fast.

• They will absolutely steal something at some point be it food or a whole ass motorbike, they will steal SOMETHING.

• Ty will obviously stress about Taylor so Aiden will remind him he's also separated from family - Ben. He'll tell him stories about them living together and Ben patching him up while also ensuring him that Tay is strong and capable enough to not have to rely on him all the time. They'll start sharing a lot of childhood stories and at some point Aiden might accidentally let something about his past slip out. He'll try to pretend he never said it but Ty won't buy it. He's already suspicious of him bcs of how fast he healed up after his death.

• A bigger fight will happen for sure and they will probably go different ways until a danger makes them run back to each other so they can fight it off together (how romantic).

•What their fight will be about I'm not very sure. Nasty things will be said though, maybe Tyler will use whatever Aiden let slip about his past against him, not knowing how much it will hurt him and maybe we'll get to see him be genuinely angry without smiling at all. That would be cool.

• Aiden will start getting pissed off more easily because of his roots growing back in and Tyler will be confused asf by it.

• Ty will dye Aiden's hair but I don't think it will happen while the gang is separated but rather at the end of the series. (Maybe I just wanna see brunette Aiden)

• Aiden will have a meltdown about something (maybe his hair, maybe smt else) and Tyler will be sooo taken aback but he'll recognise his need to make him feel better the way he did about Tay all while being painfully aware he's not very good at it.

•Eventually Aiden has to take his contacts out and he's so blind and Tyler can't stop teasing him about it.

• Some fight against phantoms or smt gets them both pretty roughed up and they patch each other up while talking about nothing in particular, just bonding.

• At some point Aiden does something actually smart and Tyler is SHOCKED.

•Aiden does/says something that makes Tyler genuinely laugh and both of them are surprised but in a good way.

•Eventually they start joking around and shit talking random people on the streets together.

•We will see them fight phantoms or smt together at least once and it will be so sick and they'll realise they actually make a good team.

I wanna say that's all for now, I do have much more in mind about them but that's more my own Tyden lovebirds fantasies that will likely never happen + this is already too long.
