I heard that PB fired a huge chunk of writers. Can someone like... preserve the It Lives Anthology so we can still play whenever we want when this app eventually goes down? Like just an app for just It Lives?
Literally I will help transcribe.

Do I wanna know where Cora and Mr. Red were getting the bones for the Vine & Moss Creatures and blood scent for the golems?
Me: I got a barbed wired bat.
Noah: Okay just don't do something weird like name it.
MC: So anyways, I named it.
When Stacy remembered Lily's favorite order 🥹
I do wonder since Dan texted everyone for help, what the others texted back.
Would love a It Lives prequel about Douglas, E.B, Cora and the cult, the first ritual, the court trial, Old Westchester, the person who sent the photo in the first place, etc
Why is there even a pep rally the first day of school.
I wish I could just unlock ILITW to just have it keyless forever. Idgaf about anything else
Yeah, it's only the power around Westchester that was dark because of what Redfield did, but other power flow lines were still fine.
The Power seems curious and playful by nature
I think you can infer that along with her dad being a cop, he's also deeply religious and that adds even more layers as to why he keeps trying to mold Ava into his idea of a "proper" daughter.
Probably unpopular opinion but I don't really like how they made it so that fusing with the power made you childish?
Redfield was faking his childish personality to get the kids to play with him. You see his real personality comes out when they play the game. It's even noticed he got darker and voice changed.
Jane being childish as the demon made a sense since she literally is a child.
But MC/Noah being childish doesn't make sense. It makes it seem like becoming a demon makes you like that when it shouldn't be the case. (Though!! You could argue that them having a lack of memories makes them like that. As it's like starting over from a baby. But the more memories they gain the more like themselves they'll become again. That could work actually....)
Headcanon that the Westchester Massacre in 1976 was from the Pine Springs development company trying to take Mr. Red for their cult but things went horribly wrong so they just kidnapped Josephine and killed her to be their conduit instead.
I feel like killing her was Plan B. I feel like Plan A was trying to take Mr. Red for their own but he absolutely wrecked their shit.
The only thing that's throwing me off is...why can Astrid take away Imogen's powers? Yes they're blood related, but Imogen did the ritual to bond with the power, not to her mom. She spilled blood and droppped her marlinspike into Josephine. Not her mom. Her mom shouldn't be able to take away her power that's so weird.
Okay I think I got it.
We know The Power’s true strength comes from the connection it has with its followers. Both sides are bound by the rules that they set. Deals with the Power and in exchange, it grants them each a supernatural ability by taking a little of the Power into themselves. But there’s only so much power a person can hold without getting corrupted.
In ILITW, they were bounded by the Are You Scared ritual. The rule set was to play the game.
In ILB, they were bounded by blood. The rule set was to provide a blood. Each ritual they do involves blood. From Josephine cutting her palm when first voicing the incantation to become the conduit, to Imogen cutting her palm during her initiation into the cult, to Astrid cutting her palm during her incantation to take away Imogen's power, and lastly MC blood defeating Josephine.
Ritual of Binding
Once a binding spell is casted by the cult to The Power, their connection is thenceforth severed. The Power grows weak and cannot physically leave the boundaries that the cult had set.
Cora's Binding Ritual from ILITW:
"Power of the ancient trees, glorious song of all that grows
by right of our covenant, we summon thee
come before us, come before us
Power of the earth and stone, furious wind and rushing creek
by right of our covenant, we bid thee listen
heed our words, heed our words
Power of flame and shadows, keeper of darkest secrets
By the right of our covenant, we bind thee!
Trouble us no more! Trouble us no more!"
Blood Binding from ILB:
"By blood a bond was forged
By blood let it be broken
By ancient trees, by earth and stone, by flame and shadow, let the covenant be ended!"
[Astrid breaking Imogen powers | MC killing Josephine]
"In bonds of blood, this vow is sworn. I bind you now forevermore."
[Incantation used to attempt to strengthen the binding placed on Josephine]
In ILB, the player uses blood connections to create and sever bonds with the power.
Theoretically, if the ILITW crew knew about this ritual could they have used it? Like since Noah and Jane share blood, could Noah have used it to free Jane without taking her place?
Reason with who (ILITW Spoilers)
Hiya, so I'm here to talk about ILITW (shocking I know). Specifically the 3 options of how to get The Marshall Twins to stop. Because I like all of them, but they all do different things. They all bring something to the table that the others don't and I think each of them is important.
First I wanna talk about the parallel that happens before you get to the options. So she's controlling Noah at the moment and you're still glued to your chair so you're fucked basically. So after yelling at Jane to free Noah doesn't work, MC asks Jane to make this a fair fight and unglue her/him to the chair "unless they're scared."
Now what I like about this is that 1.) It mirrors a previous scene from when they were kids, but now reversed. When MC wasn't sure to play with Mr. Red and Jane still pissed over the whole whistle thing taunts MC into playing saying she's/he's scared, which MC gets pissed and caves into playing the game. Here, MC uses that to get Jane to free her from the chair. And 2.) It reveals Jane is scared and has always been scared. Which I'm gonna get to later.
Anyway, you get the options:
1.) Reason with Jane
2.) Reason with Noah
3.) Blow the Whistle
1.) Reason with Jane
So the reason with Jane option is actually my favorite out of all of them. I remember I didn't pick it the first few times because I didn't think it would work very well... because...you know she cray at the moment.
But what happens is, she's still controlling Noah to knife you, so you choose to reason with her since she's controlling him. You try to get Jane to admit she's scared. And Jane for a moment freezes and loses her angry face and says "...s-scared...*flames up again* NO NOT SCARED" and the darkness around Noah lessens then swarms again.
If you remember her last words were "I'm not scared" as she was playing the game with Mr. Red, and that's what caused her to win the game and become the monster. But she is scared and you'll see later when you break through to her and is said again towards whoever takes her place.
I like this option because you see her wavering and see her actually breaking through before she actually does. This lessens her hold on Noah allowing him to break free eventually. You also context on her being scared. I think that helping her admit what she couldn't back then is a cool way to help them break free. Plus you also get the ending screenshots of the "Reason with Noah" option where he breaks free and stands up to her, so it's like the best of both worlds.
2.) Reason with Noah
Okay this one imo doesn't mean that much because Noah breaks free regardless whether you choose this option or not. (Unless you fucked up his nerve then he's not strong enough and you're fucked.)
But I like this one because he does three things that I think is important to his character. (1) is being strong enough to break free himself, and (2) is to protect MC from a charging Jane and to stand up to her and finally tell her to stop, (3) is to apologize. You don't get this scene if you choose to use the whistle (which is bs). But like I said earlier, you do get the last two with 'Reason with Jane' as well.
Anyways this is important for him to actually say this gone to far and tell his sister she gotta stop and for them to move on. It's character development.
3.) Use the Whistle
This is the one I like the least imo out of the options because it's over real quick if you use it plus I like the dialogue in the others and what it reveals about Jane or use as development for Noah. But this scene is great because of the connection and history it has between MC and Jane. And it's because of what the whistle means between the two of them that when you blow it, it can mess with Jane enough to break her hold on Noah and have Jane to return to normal.
And Noah doesn't fucking apologize if you use the whistle. I don't know about you but first playthrough I was pissed he never did. I went like over a year before I realize he could in the other options. I was like djfkfk why is the paid scene worse wtf.
If I were to make the perfect scene, I would combine traits from all of them. I'd have the MC use the whistle and it works for a while until Noah manages to smack it out of MC's hands. Then MC would try to reason with Jane and get the darkness around Noah to lessen, and then reason with Noah and he breaks through and stands up to angry Jane who then snaps out of it.
