I've stayed away from critiques on social media the past couple years as it almost never results in anything positive. That said check out Taylor Swift's real "girl squad". Possibly the most consequential person in popular music was with her team on stage while she was talking to young Women about "people taking credit for your success". This Swedish guy was (rightfully) one of the first people she thanked: Max Martin. If you don't know who this guy is, google him and his credits. If you know any of his music (and you all do I promise) you will instantly recognize it in "Blank Space" "Bad Blood" and "Shake it off" all songs he produced and "co-wrote". My point is; it is okay to question the sincerity of the feminist message of the "Taylor Swift" brand. I wish more women would.
