Due to my work as an entrepreneur, teacher, mentor and now director of Wayra , I have met hundreds of entrepreneurs who seek the magic formula to succeed. While there is no formula that works for everyone, there is a series of tips that I believe I can contribute to avoid (or at least mitigate) the typical mistakes committed by entrepreneurs, especially in their first steps. That is why I have compiled the following list that I hope you find interesting in The Sims 4 torrent Download :
1. Start something that you like. The path of the entrepreneur is not easy. In fact, those of us who have experience in it could assure that it is the most difficult of all. If you are going to start a business, do it in an area that you enjoy and doing the work that you are passionate about doing (not everyone can be CEOs or General Managers). In this way, when the blows begin to fall (and believe me they will fall) and you have to work many more hours than the others, at least you will do it willingly and it will be pleasant.
2. Focus The popular saying says it very clearly: “he who embraces a lot, little squeezes”. I have known dozens of entrepreneurs who believe that they can handle 2 or 3 projects simultaneously and in the end none of them can be successful. I recommend that you focus on one and save your other ideas for later, of course it is worth changing what you are doing along the way, what is not possible is to do everything at the same time, especially when you are new to this business.
3. Seeks to create something important, not money. Most modern entrepreneurs seek to generate quick money, which leads them to attract investors and incorrect employees and usually perish as a company before their time. The idea is that the company makes sense and preferably changes (improves) the lives of the people it reaches, if this is done, the money will arrive.
4. Arrive quickly to the market. No matter how good your idea is, it is best to try it at the earliest stage you can. That is, seek feedback from your potential customers even before your product or service is ready. Waiting for a final version can cost you a lot of money and effort. Use constant feedback to improve your offer and then go to market with something you’ve already tried.
5. Close Versions Everything can be improved, but that does not mean we have to wait for a perfect product or service. One of the main mistakes of entrepreneurs, especially engineers, is to continue adding functionality to the product, which leads to eternal development cycles. It is important to have a first version and close it once the original objectives have been met, then you will have time to make improvements in later versions.
6. Address a need. Another of the main mistakes of technological entrepreneurs is to develop something simply because they have the capacity to do it, without attending to any need of their target audience. The end result is usually a technology that lives in search of a market, fatal cause of many companies. It is much better to start in reverse: realizing that something is missing or can be improved and take advantage of the opportunity.
7. Follow your instinct. It is recommended that you listen to others: your customers, mentors and friends, but be careful because you will face many different opinions and you may lose your way. Follow your instinct and accept advice, but without losing the essence for which you undertook in the first instance. If you try to make everyone happy, you will probably fall into mediocrity.8. Defer . Make sure you have some important differential value with respect to your competitors. It is not enough to do the same as the other, you must do it better, cheaper or in a different way to be able to stand out in the market. Your company must have a clear advantage with respect to the rest and, in addition, it must be sustainable in time so that no bigger person arrives and competes with your same advantage.9. Persist Success usually takes time to arrive, so you’ll have to be persistent in your attempt to reach it. If you get frustrated quickly, entrepreneurship is not your thing. Do not confuse persistence with obstinacy: be persistent but also learn to lose. One of my favorite sayings is “lose, but do not miss the lesson”. Even losing, you can gain value and experience.
10. Delegates . You have to learn to delegate, you can not do everything by yourself. It is very common for entrepreneurs to believe that only they can do something well and are involved in everything. This can eventually lead to ruin. As companies grow it is essential that they find specialists for different areas. Lean on trusted people that you can eventually train to be better than you in a specific area and empower them to carry out the tasks.
11. Control your ego It is difficult for many to be criticized, but you must always learn to listen. Pride is a natural enemy of success, so if you close yourself to the world you will end up being the only client of your development.
12. Lose fear Challenge yourself, explore and dare to do things that you have not done or have not done. While it is true that if you do not try, you will not fail, it is also true that if you do not try, you will never succeed. Most of the most successful entrepreneurs made many mistakes of those who learned and that made them better and more valuable in the end.
13. Help the others. This is something that, in Mexico, happens a lot. We tend to take a journey without looking at those we are treading on, without asking for help and without helping. If you succeed, return a little to those who are behind your path and the ecosystem itself. In addition to generating good karma we promote the image of Mexico from abroad, and the fact that there are more successful projects helps us all, since it improves the conditions for the following generations of entrepreneurs. While it is complex to dogmatize any type of norm related to entrepreneurship (after all undertaking is an adventure), perhaps you can be courageous of these tips. And, of course, expand the list with some of your experiences. Can you think of any?
