I'M SORRY HOW WAS I NOT INFORMED OF THIS AAAAHHHH
I'm writing code to clean and format the response data and we have our first averages:
(the first number is the standard deviation, the second is the average in cm and inches(/feet and inches for heights), followed by which measurement it was) ((I won't bore you with the full set of measurements, you can look at those later on when we have the final dataset & code))
The transmasc ones are nearly my exact measurements, further cementing that I am the most standard sized human being, the transmascs' literally me guy, and justified in doing this research project for my own selfish fashion obsession lmao
The heights also align with what I know the average afab and amab heights to be (ca 5'4" and 5'10" iirc), pointing to these being pretty decent averages already, even tho it's not a particularly big amount of data (ca 70 responses total for these)!
The survey is still up and will be going until the end of the year (2026) for now, so if you qualify (regardless of what your measurements are and whether they're close to these or not!! we need the full range of bodytypes and -sizes to get to these numbers!) and haven't taken it yet, consider participating!
We will also be at Leeds pride this sunday (19th July 2026) measuring people in person, so come say hi if you're there!
Next week we'll be at Stockport pride!
