Everything you love about FKMT, plus hormones, high school drama, and...mysterious transfer students?!!
Of course, this is only the first chapter. There's three in all, and three volumes (or releases?) within this series! However, I only got a hold of one through cliscia's doujinshi scans. ZZFL/Shatou is a ridiculously awesome FKMT fanartist, but I don't think they've updated their website for a while. Still good place to look at!
As always, updates and translation notes are under the cut!
**note: Self-explanatory, but it's read right to left, and surnames before first names.
Wow! I've been gone for so long! School has been a pain, but I still made it with good marks at the end of the quarter. After AP Exams in May, I'll definitely be able to update a lot more, so don't expect any miracles until then.
I'm finishing up some Gin to Kin requests in my inbox! Normally I do those first but I just loved this doujinshi so much I wanted to get a start on it. Because the third chapter's so damn long, I'm starting with it, then I'll translate the second one, so it might be a little bit before you see the next few bits. I have some small translations I plan on posting soon so you don't get bored!
The only translation note I have for this is class leader.
A class leader in Japanese schools help the teacher run the day. They take attendance to the office and pass out papers, stuff like that.
There's also that metaphor on the last page...I'm pretty sure I screwed that up pretty badly. If there's anyone who has better suggestions, like I say, please tell me and I'll fix it as fast as I can.
Thanks so much for being patient! Just...be patient a little longer! Ahh!
I'm always open for requests by the way, so drop any submissions and pixiv links off and I'll take a look!
The title of this comic was taken from BIGMAMA's song "Hide and Seek" (which I listened to and honestly didn't like too much). Either way, it's a heartbreaking little piece.
I literally had no idea there was a thing called 'milk soap', and I got this website when I googled it to see if it's right. Thought of buying some. Probably won't. Still curious.
A couple of updates regarding requests and other things under the cut.
*I should probably add that あかちんき's stuff is, uh, really nsfw and kinda intense, so take this as a warning (or maybe I'm persuading you by saying this??).
Hello all! I haven't forgotten the Akaichi requests yet, but honestly, I haven't started on them. I actually translated this a while back (hence the really mediocre typesetting), and figured I might as well upload it.
I'm sorry I haven't been updating lately. School hasn't made anything easier for me, and I've been running into some rough patches; it's been tough. As I said, I still have the Akaichi requests at the top of my things to do as soon as shit gets worked out. After this upload, I'll get those done, and start on that really awesome doujin I got asked about earlier.
Thank you for following and bearing with me! I'd say that I'll get something done this weekend, but that usually never happens. Hopefully, though, I'll get something out. It's funny - as soon as I get in a bad mood, I turn to this blog. It's great stress relief. It's probably annoying how much I thank you for reading/liking/following/reblogging, but I really do appreciate it. Thanks so much!
Happy Valentines Day...!!! Instead of translating things like a good blog-owner I...took...some pictures... A couple of things came up so I might not be able to translate as much as I hoped! But I will try hard to translate and upload something for you today (hopefully this will...compensate...). I wish you all a good Valentines with your significant others, 2D or not!!
i always get so upset at that comic when 13akagi comes in and ruins the mood haha. i'll have to submit something then, if you're offering! ♥
yeahh talk about disappointment!! i think i might get this one done in time for valentine's because i'm biased towards anything akakai related haha
i get so embarrassed translating that sorta stuff though u o u;;

i actually really like akaichi! i'm also personally biased toward anything with yukio ... if i find anything specific tho i'll submit !
akaichi's been really popular as of late! so i'll definitely get to their stuff asap
omg that's great actually because i plan on translating a couple of yukio stuff by yoh! you should check her out if you haven't btw, she has a huge yukio log located somewhere (i think i have a link to her on my tags page).
my little brother loves yukio too so he might throw a fit if i don't post yukio stuff lol
It's a great time to translate this, actually. I've probably got no school for the rest of this week due to snow, and I'm trying to finish everything today so I can translate things for tomorrow. Not to mention Valentine's day this Friday!
A couple of updates under the cut.
Thank you for your requests! This one was one of the several that I received. I'm always open by the way.
Unsurprisingly, Akaichi got a lot of requests. Their stuff is moderately long, so it might take a little while, but I'll do my best.
However, I'll be translating shippy stuff through Friday since it makes a good excuse to spew lovey-dovey ships all over you guys
As always, thank you for the support. I just barely started this blog and I've gotten some sweet comments. You guys are great!
I suddenly have a small group of followers...hi you guys! Wow!
I've been looking through a couple of things I plan on translating - I have about five things planned (woohoo!) so expect them in the coming weeks or so.
However...I kind of realized that I seem a little biased towards a small amount of artists. And I think it'd be quite unfair to translate mostly from the three or four that I really love a lot.
I'm pretty sure I won't exhaust my bookmarks anytime soon, which have a ton of different comics from a lot of different people. But, you know. variety is good.
I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for some artists they would like to see translated?? I can't make any promises because I can't take every suggestion, but I would like to translate things a lot of you guys in this fandom want to see.
I'm also a little slow because I'm booked with tests for the remainder of the month, so...no miracles!
Preferably include the work that you really like from them, and I'll check them out. It's ok if you don't either, but then I'll just pick what I like most, haha.
NSFW works are a big maybe. Really big! If it's really explicit, definitely not, but if it's something like にゃーにゃー (nsfw, obviously), I'll probably take it.
Thank you so much!
question marks for replies, etc...?????????????????
** I actually opened a submissions page! Please submit with artist credit too, thank you!
A translated version of the FKMT girls meme on pixiv by TKG! To you artists out there who want to draw the very few but very cool chicks of the fkmt universe, here's your chance!
The last box, I assume, is a freebie to either draw any girl not already included or apply the rule 63 (it's rule 63 right) to any character you wish.
I'm not sure where the current Gin to Kin translating group is in translating, but at this point in writing, I don't think they've reached Tanaka Saori's entrance yet. Here's an image of her if you want to draw her! She's a real badass. And cute.
Happy drawing!
* On another note - yosy's attempt is absolutely astounding.
The title is literally, "Borrowing your hands", but I figured "A helping hand" would be less awkward a title.
Sattsu's work is primarily Kuroko no Basuke, but she has a small bundle of fkmt stuff, too. Mostly heartbreaking fanworks with very intricate storylines, and very fancy penwork; absolutely worth checking out. I plan on translating another of her works in the near future!
* Some of it is a little hard to read; forgive me.
I lied when I said I'd translate something less depressing. I'm a huge sucker for works about Akagi and Hiro, because they make me cry. Uh, my keyboard and hands were covered in tears translating this, haha.
Translation notes: -
"...and you'll be alright."
Ahh, this line. In Japanese, it was, "漕ぎ出せるさ", which means, "you'll eventually push through". "漕ぎ" means to "row", and I couldn't find any information behind it being used as an idiom for that, so "you'll be alright" kind of stuck. If you have a better alternative, send me an ask!
Hopefully, tumblr didn't screw up the format as I upload this. It looks pretty messed up from what I'm looking at.
*Obon festival - Obon (お盆?) or just Bon (盆?) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist-Confucian custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.
can i just explain how much i love uri's works? it sucks that s/he doesn't draw fkmt stuff anymore; she's one of my favorites. most of her fkmt stuff is nsfw, though, so watch out.
i've gotta say that this is one of my favorite things of the fkmt submissions on pixiv. it 's quite sad, i think, and very subtle; how uri came up with something like this, i don't really know.
so far, this blog has just been depressing shit on top of depressing shit, haha. i'll try and find something more lighthearted to post. i just realized, though, that everything i've translated up to this point has been pretty depressing.
an akaichi work, who's really one of the most depressing fkmt fanartists in the world. her artistic style is 'doodlish', for lack of better word, but her narration is very pretty. some translating notes and rambling under the cut
i ended up having to write in the words because typesetting handwritten things from drawr of all places made it come out looking kind of amateurish. but my handwriting is near unreadable! i hope i wrote it neatly enough so you could read it haha
i enjoy akaichi's work but some parts were a little tricky - the last panel, for instance, was a little strange, as it wasn't a complete sentence. literally, it means, "The man named Hirayama Yukio's life" but i thought it sounded a little strange, so i tweaked it a bit.
