Hi there! I haven’t been on this site for like 3 years but I just decided to hop on to take a peek and I can’t believe I have a question to answer! I’m sorry if this has been sitting unanswered for a while, but my life is crazy busy. I have THREE kids these days (one of whom is a newborn). I really wish I had the time to write like I did 10 years ago. I miss it a lot!

Thank you for reading when you did, I appreciate it so much! I put my heart into those stories and I know a lot of other writers did too. I decided to delete them all from my blog, but I do still have them in my Google account and sometimes when I’m really desperate to cringe at myself, I go back and read a couple chapters.

A week ago today I lost my best friend. This has been the longest and one of the worst weeks of my life. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to him. I even told him on the car ride to the ER, “Harley, you’re not allowed to leave me tonight.”

But there was no other option but to put him to sleep. His stomach had flipped over and it was already starting to cut off circulation to his vital organs. Surgery unfortunately wasn’t an option that my husband and I had and it breaks my fucking heart that we couldn’t save him.

It was only a few hours from the time he first started dry heaving to the time we were saying goodbye to him.

Please look for the signs of bloat and if your dog shows any of these, GET THEM TO THE VET. Please don’t ignore it and let them suffer.
