Are you sure these are DMCA safe? What sort of edits do you do? Are they legal, or just changed enough so bots can't notice them? I'm curious!
The songs are edited so that they already use low-quality sounding MIDIs in the background which often don't have the right instruments to begin with. The vocals are then "sung" by a computer voice which isn't in rhythm and doesn't always pronounce words correctly like "sudoo I" in Never gonna give you up or "try why why" in Firework. I'm also trying to not use as many original assets as possible by for example using different pictures for cover art now. These songs are very low quality so that bots most likely won't notice.
I'm not great at Legalese but if I look at these songs, they kinda fall into a grey zone. It's illegal to use melodies or lyrics without permission. But you could counter-argue that with the nature of these songs (short, low-quality instruments and vocals, non-profit, etc.), they can be looked as parodies and thus fall under fair use.
