I am working on that! I didn’t know there was an interest cause gmail is atrocious and threw the messages in spam. If I get enough people willing to haggle with me about timeframe I’m more than willing to host for everyone!

It's actually both!! If you don't enjoy gore, I'm not going to pair you with someone that loves nothing but gore (either to make your gift or to have you make one). I made a pretty rad system that did excellent last year. In most all cases I getcha guys with someone who shares some favorite characters (not always all) as well as liked/disliked genres. Wanna make it easy and ensure you guys really enjoy the event! Thanks for asking. (:

Oh, I realized something earlier as well, just a heads up because since much of you from the last event are still following me I'm unsure. There is a second blog that is doing the same thing this year who isn't me. They have a similar icon and URL so it might be harder to notice. Some of ya'll are under their event. But those who participated last year and are wanting to do the different event--my updates and stuffs don't apply to you. (You can join mine if you'd like, or unfollow if that's more convenient. >.<) I just don't wanna cause confusion.
Since it’s been pretty widely requested, this year we are going to have a DRAMAtical Murder Secret Santa event again (plus we have many lovely new additions to the fandom since this last happened)!
I’ll try to make the rules and guidelines as short as possible.
How does it work?
If you want to participate, fill out this form and submit it to me. That way, your Santa has an idea of the characters you like. Once I receive your submission, I’ll add your URL to a list of participating Tumblr users. If you don’t see your name on the list (I’ll keep it alphabetical to make it easy) within 48 hours, go ahead and shoot me an ask in case Tumblr got hungry. Once the deadline hits, I’ll give everyone a Tumblr user as well as the profile given to me so you can put together their present! What can you give them? Absolutely anything! (As long as it’s in good faith.) Art, music, fanfiction, handmade stuff, you name it. You’ll have until December 25th to finish your gift and give it to them.
How you give it to them is a little flexible. If you wish to remain anonymous and it’s online, feel free to send it to me and I’ll pass it along. There’s no harm in revealing yourself in the end if you’d like.
For now, the deadline to enter will be November 25th. This date may change depending on number of people wanting participate and taking into consideration time to make gifts.
Some important bits:
Please don’t tell your giftee you’re their Secret Santa. That ruins the fun and the whole point of this event. I don’t pair people up with each other, so your giftee isn’t your Santa and vice-versa.
If you think you won’t be able to meet the deadline or wish to withdraw for any reason, please notify me ASAP. I’d have to find another Secret Santa for them so no one goes without a gift afterall~!
If you’d like to mail your recipient something instead of submitting a gift digitally, go ahead and let me know. I’ll get their address for you (as you would have to ask on anon if you did it and you can’t reply privately that way.) If you opt for this, please take into consideration the time it will take to mail. It’d be nice for them to get it as close to Christmas as possible!!
Shoot me an ask if you would like more information from your giftee. In order to keep your identity hidden, I’m going to need to be the one to ask lest they post the info publicly.
Also, if your URL changes, let me know please! I’d need to be able to update the person whom is your Secret Santa.
Lastly, when you finish your gift, please do tell me. I’m keeping track to make sure everyone will indeed be getting a gift. If you won’t be finishing til close to the deadline, still update! I wanna be sure all is well!! If I don’t hear anything about two weeks before Christmas (even that you’ve started it), I’ll start messaging people in case someone else needs to take up your giftee. I’m determined to make sure everyone gets a present.

I agree with the anon, but most importantly I hope you don't get stressed out :'( I think it would be fun to have two! No problem I can really think of unless people who are joining both don't contribute to both because they get wrapped up in one or the other
I actually was stressed about not being able to run it!! (I think of this event as my baby as silly as it is!!) I put a lot of work into developing it and was excited all year to do it again. So to see someone else was doing it and I may not be able to was saddening (not to mention coming up with a fair solution to the precious people wanting to do it with me as their host). It's a risk someone may be wrapped up in one or the other, but I hope to be interactive enough that people have fun!
