out. i’m going to be putting donna on hiatus for the time being, it’s not that i don’t have muse for her anymore, but i just don’t have the time. i will come back to writing her again, but just consider this blog on very, very low activity from here on out.

ali and lisa were supposed to help her get ready for the wedding. day supposed to be the happiest of her life, sophie feels anything but happy. nervous, indeed, but not in a good way. is she doing the right thing? should she really get married? and was the sky the one for her? her feelings are telling her not to do it. to just call it all off and leave. another part of her tells her it is the right thing, that it is how it’s supposed to be. married to sky, for the rest of her life.
the thought alone makes a shiver run down her spine and she is even more confused. the blonde walks around the isle without a destination. unsure what she is looking for, she wanders, features tired, smile gone from her lips. before she knows what’s going on, she runs into her mother who seems to be worried. did she look that much of a mess? apparently. hands rest on top of donna’s arms and the younger blonde gives her an equally worried look. “ mom, i think you are going to hate me for what i’m about to tell you. ”

𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 ? donna would be LYING if she said yes. & despite how many times they'd fought about it, how could she deny her daughter's HAPPINESS ? if getting married to sky would ensure her happiness, then the blonde knew that she couldn't stand in the way of that, even if she did DISAPPROVE. & it wasn't simply the wedding that she disapproved of, but whom she was MARRYING as well. the blonde could see from a mile away that sky wasn't right for her daughter, but once again, she wouldn't stand in her way if he made her HAPPY. & whilst she was aware that sophie KNEW of her feelings toward it, she wasn't going to bring it up again, for the last argument they'd had about it all hadn't ENDED PLEASANTLY & it broke her heart to argue with her, so, for her daughter's sake, she'd dropped it.
& it was after she'd left tanya & rosie to their own devices that the blonde continued her PREPARATIONS for the big day, that she came across her daughter, CONCERN immediately finding sun kissed features as she did so. however, she was certain that with sophie's words alongside her downtrodden expression that she KNEW what she was going to say, but she wouldn't jump to any CONCLUSIONS, not until sophie told her what she needed to. ❝ honey, i could never do such a thing, ❞ came reassuring tones, soft smile adorning her countenance as she did so, gentle embrace circling the younger sheridan as she did so. ❝ what is it ? what do you want to tell me, soph ? ❞

‘that depends - who is your band? if the other members are losers, you can forget about it.’ but she likes donna. at least, she thinks she’s cool and that’s something that not a lot of people are lucky enough to say. ‘you’d do much better performing on your own, you know. like …. madonna. ‘
𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐖 𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀'𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒, for donna was tolerant of a lot, but a cross word about her FRIENDS, that's something that she wouldn't stand for. ❝ losers ? they're my BEST FRIENDS & if they're not welcome, then i'm sure that you can find somebody ELSE to play at your party, ❞ & adamant were her tones, frown finding it's way atop typically soft features.

𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 – her and those curious eyes , prone to find interest in the most different things. her presence feels light, and even though 𝕥𝕒𝕞𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕟 𝕚𝕤 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖 that her reception hadn’t been as sweet as it could be, she’s glad to spend some time in the other’s company. ❝ oh ! – yeah ? ❞ she spins around her body , heading towards the loft’s kitchen and 𝑔𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑖𝑡𝘩 𝑏𝑜𝑡𝘩 𝘩𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 for donna to keep talking – she’s listening, just focusing in something else as well. ❝ really ? how’s that going ? rose told me she was working in something new , i just didn’t knew you were helping her . i’m sure it’ll be great . ❞ a wrinkled nose, tammy smiles, contouring the counter and grabbing a couple of mugs for the two of them. ❝ god , that sounds amazing . where are you going first ? —– sorry , donna , d’you want some tea ? we deserve a little break from all the tidying up . ❞
𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐍, hopping atop the kitchen counter as she entered, oceanic gaze focused on the blonde. ❝ it was kind of a LAST MINUTE decision, i always liked to design things when i was at school, made all of my bands outfits from curtains to bed sheets, ❞ she explained, chin resting atop her knee, fond smile finding pink lips at the MEMORIES. ❝ i was think PARIS first, then maybe greece, i've always wanted to go to greece, ❞ the flaxen haired woman hummed, almost lost in DAY DREAM all of her own, thinking about her future, for whilst she had nothing specific planned, all she wanted to do was TRAVEL, to experience everything, to meet NEW PEOPLE, to fall in love with a new city every night & now that she could, she wasn't wasting another second. ❝ but tea sounds wonderful, thank you, ❞ smile was soft as she spoke, tucking a stray curl behind her ear.

gone were the days of harry headbanger. he no longer wished to get lost in foreign towns with beautiful women ( though, he would always cherish the night with donna like the sweetest memories, a polaroid picture that was worn around the edges ) and he had lost his more spontaneous moments. the flame of youth flickered within him, burning brighter around donna, but he knew that there was a risk of it flickering out forever. who could think of risks, though, with the sunshine shining down on them, and a piece of sunshine held in his arms ? ‘ i swear on my life, donna sheridan, i’ll never let anyone know you said the word hip. ‘ pride was a feeling he was well - acquainted with - he had felt it the second he laid his eyes on his would - be daughter, and he knew that donna must feel it tenfold. ‘ what else can you do but try your best ? ‘
𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐄, with the champagne flowing freely & laughter spilling throughout the air. with STRANGERS striking up conversations like they'd known each other for DECADES, newfound friends dancing to the music that filled the courtyard & the blonde was very much HAPPY get lost in the atmosphere, especially when she was in such wonderful company. ❝ good, i don't think soph would ever let me live it down if she found out, ❞ came light tones, taking a sip of her drink now, head resting gently atop of the others shoulder as she did so. ❝ it's all we can do, isn't it ? ❞ came her AGREEMENT, & that was all she had TRIED to do over the past twenty five years, what she'd continue to do until she drew her last breath, even if she'd NEVER stop worrying that she'd messed up time & time again.
