in honor of my other post… here’s how I personally like to draw (some of) the dsmp members ;]

For anyone who joined the fandom “late” and doesn’t know all the lore, or those simply wanting to re-watch it

Theres this channel on youtube called BlueberryTV who has been uploading all the Dream SMP stuff in order FROM THE VERY BEGINNIGN OF THE SERVER, and cutting it down into mostly 20-40 minute videos, showing funny highlights, important lore bits, and all the POVs

as of the date posting this (18th April) the channel isnt even up to the pogtopia arc, and it posts videos every few days, so you can easily watch-along as new videos are released without feelign overwhelmed with having to catch up on hours and hours of lore

they also do videos of Tales From The SMP and also some summary videos etc etc

i just figured id share this, because this is a whole lot of work, well made and edited, and also its easily-digestible for people who want to see older content from the smp for whatever reason

sometimes the dream smp feels like a small fandom. sometimes it feels like a small, little cozy place for just us, the people that like it, and the streamer. sometimes, in the middle of a chill alt stream where alex and karl are talking about how they first met, it feels like our own little nook of the internet.

then i see cody ko get trending on twitter for quackityhq — the reddit and discord’s got talent guy — merely saying his name once, accidentally.

then i see fucking dwane johnson reply to tommyinnit — a kid that still lives with his parents and gained 3 million subscribers in one year — wishing him happy birthday.

then i see matpat & fuckin game theory make a video on wilbur soot — a man that wrote a little hamilton inspired story for him and his friends to have fun with — and talking about his writing in depth.

then i see the rolling stone make an article on the dream smp.

then i see pewdiepie, the biggest youtuber ever, defending karl jacobs — best friend of another one of the biggest and most successful youtubers ever — and saying not to send him hate.

then i see lovejoy, wilbur soot’s band, hit #1 on the uk and #2 on the us itunes charts, the day after their debut.

then i see lil nas x, the fucking horses in the back guy, the same guy that performed at the grammys with worldwide hit boyband bts, join the dream smp and play with ranboo — a kid that isn’t even allowed to order pizza to his house — karl jacobs and corpse husband.

then i see a woman on fucking fox news, on live national television, talk about her pet chicken she named after badboyhalo, a lighthearted minecraft streamer that pranks his friends and doesn’t ever swear.

then i realize, it’s The Dream SMP.

then it hits me.

then it all hits me.

everybody knows what the dream smp is.

everybody knows who these people are.

and any post of yours could end up on an article.

any comment you make could be their next ongoing joke in all their streams.

these people get trending across social media everyday.

these people are fucking celebrities.

and what do they do?

play Minecraft.

Jin: "I'll pour however much I need to."

Jimin: "But Gordon Ramsay said-"

Jin: "Look, I don't give 2 shits what gOrdOn raMsaY said-"

Jimin: "You should cuz your steak is on fire."

Jin: *turns around* "SHIT-" *starts hitting the flames with a dry towel*

Gordon: "I NEED MY STEAK FOR TABLE 5 HURRY UP!!!"

*Suga pushes Jungkook out the way, takes the Beef Wellingtons, then plates them for Gordon Ramsay*

*RM tears up a bit as he cuts the onions*

Gordon: *checks the dishes thoroughly* "Who cooked this in the oven?"

*everyone abandons their stations and leave*

*BTS walks in and stands in a neat, filed line hours later for the ceremony*

Gordon: "Someone tell me what happened tonight."

Gordon: "Shut up. Just shut the fuck up."

Gordon: "The only people who made some sort of improvement tonight were Jhope and Jimin."

Gordon: "The fucking Beef Wellingtons sent me over the fucking edge. They were undercooked and presented sloppily."

Suga: "Namjoon and Jungkook were in charge of cooking them so I thought they were done. They undercooked them."

RM: "Hey, I may be in the pan, but you cannot fry me like that."

Jungkook: "I told you they weren't finished."

Suga: "They were-"

Gordon: "STOP, the burnt steaks and back talk tonight...Then Jungkook was just standing around like a dumbass doing nothing. The kitchen was a mess tonight. There was no teamwork. No harmony."

Gordon: *sighs* "Please decide who are the 2 members you want to send up for elimination."

RM: "We've decided to send up V and Jin"

*Tae looks around genuinely confused*

Gordon: "V, tell me why you should stay here."

V: "Um, I really like the whole cooking...scene...I apologize for back-talking earlier but I don't see how that affects how I cook."

Gordon: "Jin, tell me why you should stay here."

Jin: "I'm improving everyday. I take initiative and listen to my teammates." *Jimin chuckles in the background*

Gordon: *thinks for a while* "The person who will be leaving Hell's Kitchen is..."

Gordon: *dramatic sound effect* "Jin, please give me your jacket-"

Jin: "WHAT??!?! I'VE BEEN HERE SINCE DAY 1, DAY 1! I BURN 1 STEAK AND NOW I'M BEING SENT HOME??"

*the BTS members avoid eye contact with him*

*Jin gives up his jacket and leaves out the exit doors*

Jin: *in a confessional* "They've been trying to get rid of me since day 1, I know it. This is completely unfair. Pfft...HOW DID THEY KEEP TAE BUT NOT ME?!?!"
