Thinking of the past is so odd. I have so much love and tenderness for younger me. I envy her but I also know very well how much she was struggling at times. I’ve always been incredibly melancholic about the past, nostalgia might be one of the stronger emotions I feel. Tonight thinking of people who used to be in my life is what I feel sad about. I saw a picture of the dad of a friend and I follow him on Twitter I see what he’s up to in a way but in this picture he looked so old compared to the picture of him I had in my head. A lot of people around me are getting older which is a whole other deal to tackle but. I think of all the people I used to see every day or every week and how weird it is they aren’t here anymore. I guess it’s the price of wanting to explore the world and get out of ur hometown.

Back on here this feels like my own little safe space I thought I had lost the log ins but I’m so glad I didn’t. I just need a space to write and think and not think alone. Life is very weird lately. Hard but also not at all. Hopefully this won’t be just another doom scrolling distraction but in fact a little digital journal of mine.
