JJ went from being kind of nonchalant about whatever happens with Pope’s scholarship to caring so much about it, sacrificing his own future and risking a lot just to make sure Pope still has the bright future he wants. When he knows that Pope messed up his interview he shows us that he still kept the promise he made in the first episode, “I’m here for you, Pope.”  No matter what happens JJ is there for Pope and I find that so beautiful.
