the atmosphere was tense, everyone waiting for imran khan to speak. What would he say that would shake the very foundation of the incumbent government led by nawaz sharif. Don't pay your bills, no don't pay your electricity bills or gas bills or GST. Civil Disobedience! for those of us waiting for some amazing strategy or plan from the leader of the pti this came as a great disappointment. Not only had imran khan backed away from his earlier rhetoric but the strategy that he had spent an entire 12 hours thinking about was to not pay your bills ! I have immense respect for imran khan, he is a true hero of the country, one of the few heroes that is properly recognised and yet he has launched an immature protest without any serious thought or strategy with the ultimate effect of disheartening his loyal supporters. My advice to Imran Khan - call up a think tank of 5 sane people who can discuss and arrive at a strategy that you agree with. Define some clear objectives and direction. If nothing else, this will make you seem prepared and serious and give you actual points to talk about to your supporters.

Hail the assassin as your hero! Lift him up on your shoulders and show his brave deed to your children! Tell them to emulate his example and follow his footsteps! Kiss the ground he walked on! Congregate outside the prison that holds him and shout slogans so he hears your support through the walls. Because soon, the only heroes left in your life will be those with blood on their hands and death in their hearts.

A Sordid Affair

Jaleel was overjoyed. He had long hoped to break into the ranks of those who could attend these little gatherings where the high-ups of media and industry would chit-chat and socialise, discussing past present and future intrigues. This particular gathering was seemed to be a very important one and although he didn't know it at the time, it would lead to one of the greatest travesties in the history of his country. As he sat, pretending to sip on the alcoholic beverage he had been handed, he looked around at the faces in the dimly lit room. Here they were, the biggest names in the media - hosts, producers, executives and chiefs - mingling with politicians and tycoons. Accidentally, he took a huge gulp as he recognised an ex-President. He looked different somehow but it was him sure enough. He had been ousted by the current dictator and had been vowing revenge ever since. Wide-eyed, throat burning from the extra large gulp of Johnnie Walker Black Label, he looked on as Mr exPrez, spoke in earnest with the chief executive of one of the largest private TV networks of his country. His wide-eyes followed the two as they slowly, furtively sauntered off to a dark corner of the room to continue their eager discussion. Very carefully, Jaleel zig-zagged, almost aimlessly, towards a pillar nearby and leaned against it, hoping to catch some of the conversation. "Sir gee, it would be easy for us. We hold the minds of the people. What we tell them BECOMES the truth. We are prophets and few recognise our power but we have a responsibility to the people and such responsibility comes with a heavy price !" Jaleel recognised the voice of the media chief. Almost immediately came the low, snarling reply of Mr exPrez "and what PRICE would that be exactly?" Media Chief laughed, a hollow laugh and coughed slightly as if to clear his throat. Just then, there was an uproar from the other side of the room. Jaleel turned to look and saw two women standing on a coffee table kissing each other, passionately whilst the crowd cheered and jeered. He turned his attention back to the conversation that had continued uninterrupted. "....do you think these numbers frighten me? I will gladly pay double that amount...more if needed but I want everyone against him, I WANT HIM OUT, I WANT HIM HANGED ... " The low snarl had gradually risen to a choked roar, filled with hatred and vengeance and then suddenly became a secretive snarl again "I will give you 8 billion amreeki dollars if you can do it and i promise you, when i am back in my rightful place, you will be in my very good graces" Jaleel almost choked. The alcohol had his head reeling...could this be happening...? - He watched events unfold and couldn't believe that he was watching the most powerful dictator in the history of his country changing from a beneficent and upright dictator into a vile monster. On TV, his every action seemed to be vile and corrupt and he was on a murderous rampage through the country that he had ruled for 8 long years. Jaleel almost believed it himself...but for a hazy memory of the sordid meeting and the figure of 8 BILLION Amreeki dollars...

Race hate gangs attack students [email protected] 11 November 2009 RACIST thugs have launched brutal attacks on Muslim students - leaving them fearing for their lives. In the latest attack - on Thursday in St John Street, Finsbury, at around 7.45pm - a group of Muslim students from nearby City University were stabbed during two ambushes by a mob of 30 white and black men. The gang were armed with knives, bricks and metal poles and left six Asian students needing hospital treatment. Third-year student Ali Elhamamy, 22, of the university's Islamic Society, said: "We were attacked outside the university's prayer room earlier in the day with fireworks and bricks. The police were called and they told us that we would be better dispersing in small groups. We split up into three groups of seven or eight and headed off separately in the directions of Angel, Farringdon and Barbican Tube stations." But the group on the way to Angel were accosted by a gang of 20 thugs before they could make it to the station. Shortly afterwards the students heading to Farringdon - who had turned around on hearing about the first attack - were set upon by 30 attackers further down St John Street. Mr Elhamamy, who was part of the group heading to Barbican, said: "These were vicious attacks. One student was callously stamped on and told by doctors that one more blow to the head could have caused severe damage. Another guy had to have part of his skull glued back together. There was a lot of blood and it was a very scary time. "Thankfully everyone managed to walk out of hospital this time - even if a couple were on crutches. But next time we might not be so lucky." The first attack happened on November 2 when a student was punched as he went to the university's prayer room. His nose was broken and lip split before he managed to escape into the building in Gloucester Way, Finsbury. When he left after evening prayers with a group of 10 other Muslims they were bombarded with bricks - leaving three students needing hospital treatment for facial and head injuries. Mr Elhamamy said: "This cannot go on. We are not interested in revenge attacks and just want to complete our studies. We are in constant fear for our safety. The gang shout things like 'Get those Muslims' and 'Pakis'. "People are scared they will be killed. Some are first-year students who have come from across the UK or other countries and this is not the sort of experiences they should be having." Qasim Rafiq, of the Federation of Student Islamic Societies, added: "These have been terrible attacks by ignorant people and we can only hope they are isolated incidents." A spokeswoman for City University said: "We're shocked and saddened that some of our students have been the victims of an attack near the university. University security has increased its presence at prayer meetings and has also increased the volume of its campus-wide patrols. A team from Islington Police Safer Neighbourhoods is undertaking extra patrols from 2pm to 10pm each day this week in the local area." Superintendent John Sutherland, of Islington police, said: "We're treating both incidents very seriously. The Muslim and local community can be reassured by the fact there are dedicated police patrols in this area and crime prevention measures have been put in place with the university." Three men aged 17, 18 and 19, who were arrested following the attack on Thursday, have been bailed to return to police on January 4. Conditions of their bail mean they must not go within 100 metres of City University, must not contact any students from the university and must not contact any prosecution witnesses.

* * * * * A prominent American’s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her “How could God let something like this happen?” (Regarding the attacks on September 11) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and thoughtful response. She said “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give His blessing and protection if we demand He leave us alone?” In light of recent events…terrorists attack, school shootings etc…, I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained that she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school…the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal and love your neighbour as yourself. And we said OK Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children while they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock’s son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said OK. Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. The school administrators said no faculty member in their school better touch a student while they misbehave because we don’t want any bad publicity and we surely don’t want to get sued (there’s a big difference between disciplining, touching, beating, smacking, humiliating, kicking etc.). And we said OK. Then someone said let’s let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won’t even have to tell their parents, And we said OK. Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they are going to do it anyway, let’s give our sons all the condoms they need so they can have all the fun they desire and we won’t have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said OK. Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn’t matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. Agreeing with them we said, it doesn’t matter to me what anyone, including the President does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good. Then someone said let’s print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body/ And we said OK. And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then further again by making them available on the internet. And we said OK; they’re entitled to free speech. Then the entertainment industry said let’s make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. Let’s record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide and satanic themes. And we said OK it’s just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead. Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don’t know right from wrong, and why it doesn’t bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with “WE REAP WHAT WE SOW”. Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send “jokes” through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely though cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and the workplace.

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.' I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world. Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section. The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them. 'I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth. Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. Why won't Governments listen to their People? Voting doesn't help...once the chosen party (of a 2 party system) is in power they forget all their promises Protests don't help - they ignore them or cart off the protesters to somewhere out of the way - did 1 MILLION protesters stop the IRAQ war? NO Petitions don't help - they don't care what you think because it is the LOBBIES and CORPORATIONS that FUND them that they must listen to. Boycotts have a limited and short term effect MONEY is what drives them They know that no matter what : People have to work and earn money People have to pay TAXES People have to BUY FOOD, GAS, ENERGY People have to have HEALTHCARE and FACILITIES and are prepared to pay for them People want to live reasonably comfortable lives All of the above is GUARANTEED INCOME for them to spend however they and THEIR LOBBIES WISH ! So when you March, or protest or petition or boycott, it doesn't bother them or affect them and they go ahead anyway saying things like : "isn't democracy great that people can say what they want without being imprisoned and tortured" or "free speech is the right of every citizen" What is the POINT of SAYING SOMETHING IF THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SAYING IT TO DON"T LISTEN AND DON"T CARE. How to MAKE THEM LISTEN and STOP MURDERING IN OUR NAMES and WITH OUR MONEY. There is a PEACEFUL way to actually do something about this one Government / Country at a time. WHAT IF: One Million People got up one day and left Country X and went to Country Y next door (or Country Z) with all their assets and skills. All their earnings, taxes, purchasing power would be lost to Country X and would benefit Country Y or Z. Country X would face economic collapse most probably. Do you think the greedy corporations and lobbies would step in to fill that gap? NO ! Governments could choose to do one of the following : a. FREEZE THE ASSETS OF THOSE PEOPLE AND STOP THEM FROM LEAVING SOMEHOW (would mean breach of ALL CIVIL RIGHTS) b. LET THEM GO (would mean the collapse of the country and their particular government) c. LISTEN TO THEIR PEOPLE (would mean they finally start acting as though the Government is FOR THE PEOPLE and BY THE PEOPLE) WHAT IF: A Million People agreed on an arbitrary date, such as 7th September 2009 and gave themselves that time to pack up, move assets, transfer businesses and skill up. Do you think that the Government would ignore you then? Once they realize that this is no empty promise of the type they make? That it will hurt them where it hurts most? Make no mistake, we are talking about a REVOLUTION to take back our rights from the Governments of the world and to MAKE THEM LISTEN. The Internet provides us with the platform. Social Networking sites provide the capability. All we need to do is be prepared to make the sacrifice if we have to. Who knows, maybe we'll have a better life in Country Y or Z which is now much wealthier in every respect. The whole point is that if you chose ONE country to LEAVE, they will be forced to listen or to take away your rights in which case they will have to show you their true colors all at once instead of one civil liberty at a time which is what is happening NOW. Steps: Everyone who signs up must commit. An empty promise is of no use. You promise that IF by the date specified your government does not comply with certain simple requests from it's citizens (YOU)by 1st September 2009, you will take your assets: money, skills, property, businesses, good citizenry etc. and LEAVE THE COUNTRY within 30 days. You will actually plan your move well before that time to ensure that your lives in the new country of your choice are as comfortable as possible and that your families will be OK there. You choose WHERE to go....it doesn't matter. Hopefully you will never HAVE to leave as your Government will have no choice but to listen to it's people. Plan and Decide to go where you feel you can still have a good life. Enough people must sign up and the threat must NOT BE HOLLOW. The GOVERNMENTS OF THE WORLD WILL LISTEN. They may accept that humanity comes before greed and they may change their laws if they realise that people are actually prepared to sacrifice a little comfort for a cause. Film Review - Battle in Seattle

Battle in Seattle is an AWESOME film and is a must watch as it has a deep and thought provoking message about the state of the world in which we live and whether our silence about a particular subject is condoning the actions of the powerful few.

The WTO (World Trade Organisation) is the bad guy in this movie and the well organised protesters go head to head with the city during the WTO talks in Seattle. It makes you think what the government is prepared to put it's people through in order to make sure that the 'show goes on'.

There are some very shocking and emotional scenes and in my view is a pretty clear indication of how the concept of a POLICE STATE has actually become a reality in MOST countries. If you disagree, just try protesting against the powers that be and see what happens to you...

It has a STAR STUDDED cast including the most beatiful hollywood actress of the decade - Charlize Theron !

Woody Harrelson also features in the film with a very stern shaved head look..he was MUCH better in "White Men can't jump", which is one of my all time fav films.

I have to give this film 5 stars.
