The question came out before she could access the situation. Disbelief and disheveled by the amount of dead bodies surrounding Lia's feet, Milly's mind couldn't fathom how her friend survive such a catastrophic calamity. Ignoring the sticky gore, she grabbed Lia's hands and pulled her to safety, inside her arms. It didn't matter that her friend had blood-stained hands.
With a strong embrace, Milly didn't want to let go of her, but she had to inspect and make sure there weren't any bites or scratches. The dire situation of it all was ensuring that Lia was. . .still Lia. Her hands moved to grip her friend's arms, pulling her away to thoroughly examine under loose clothing and behind unfettering blonde hair that littered with thick, bloody goo. She rocket shot questions that wouldn't quiet her brain, maybe lia's voice could help that, " how do you feel? are you hurt? were you biten? "
the closeness of another's body startles her at first ; a jolt to her already weakened and traumatized frame . she knows that milly would never pass judgment ... that her intentions are pure and genuinely for lia's well-being . kindness isn't something handed out on a silver platter these days . it's something you have to work for ( sometimes kill for ) .

eyes flick upward before gaze falls on cerulean hues . it isn't until he leans in that she finds it hard to breathe , the air from his lungs more toxic than the fumes she had been inhaling . “ don't you think it'll be easier to get information outta me if i'm not suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning ? " eyes widen in disbelief , though the crimson stains on lia's hands rid her of any innocence she might have tried to claim . the hours prior to her run-in with amelia are a blur , memories evaporating instantaneously . the bodies at her feet aren't human . they were at one point , but not in quite some time . a blade slips from shaking hands , clashing against the tiled floor of the abandoned pharmacy with a loud CLING! had she not obviously cleared the building of its occupants before , she may have feared repercussions for her careless behavior .
