Dr. Fructose

Sometimes racers crash and aren't injured enough to cause a respawn. When this happens, a doctor is called to treat the wounded. Once healed, the racers happily go back to driving at breakneck speeds and shooting missiles at each other. Unsurprisingly, the doctor hates every last one of them. Honestly, I just wheeled myself to Tappers to get out of my cabinet for the night. The racers were getting obnoxiously loud about the new year. Then a ton of drinks happened and continued to happen.

Got asked to come by the hospital today. Which was... surprising. The vast majority of the populace seems content with me having become a recluse. So I wheeled over, mostly out of confusion, only to find they wanted my input on a patient. Had a complicated surgery they were trying to do and wanted me to consult on it. I did. Thanked me for it and everything. Made a point to mention that they'd like to call on me again in the future.

...need a drink. Not even sure how to process this shit.

Update: I had to say goodbye to my buddy today.

Immunal issue that was attacking parts of his body, his lungs were full of liquid.

I'm still paying his bills plus extra now to cover his EOL costs.
