Hiya! You can call me Oleander, Oli for short, and this is the blog I made for my Ao3 account

I made this so I can post bits of worldbuilding and hopefully character designs, though that would be something for the future as I don't draw people much.

My current fic is called "Of Flowers and Scars," I named it that for no particular reason, just thought it sounded cool. It was originally based off DDVAU, that's where I got the idea from, but the plot is quite different.

What I'm currently working on:

Getting chapters 7 and 8 finished and posted

Drawing weapon designs (hopefully those will get posted in the next week or two, probably a little after ch 7 releases

Chapter 8 out now!

I wake up Thursday morning, ready for another day of work at the cafe, until Mumbo bursts in.

“You simply cannot go to work today,” he says, “You have been working far too much lately, you deserve a break.” “But Lizzie, Scar and Tim need me there, I can’t just skip my shift!” A figure appears behind Mumbo. “Can’t you?” Scar asks. “We’ve decided the cafe is closed today, in favor of going to the summer market!” I smile at Scar. “Well, if that’s the case, let’s go!” — We park Mumbo’s car on a nearby street, unloading Scar’s wheelchair, which he brought because there would be a lot of walking, and begin making our way over to the market.  “Seems like we’re getting close, I can hear the music from here,” Scar says. Scar’s right, I can start to hear music and chatter. As we walk down the last street to get to the market, all the lights start to come into view. “Did you guys know this is Grian’s first Hermitopia Summer Market!” Mumbo says. “WHAT?” Jimmy yells, shocked. “Yeah, I used to live here when I was a kid but never got the chance to come, and I only moved back here pretty recently,” I say, not feeling like this is a great time to explain I've recently escaped from a cult. “Well, I guess we just have to make up for all the time you’ve missed out on. Come on!”

Etho's hammer

First up out of the Of Flowers and Scars heroes, villians, and vigilantes I'll be designing weapons for, here's my design for Etho (aka Aether)'s weapon:

Chapter 7 out now!

*Ding*  The bell above the door rings as someone enters. I look up, then my jaw drops as I see a group of heroes enter.  Scar walks up beside me. “I was shocked to see them too when I first started working here. Heroes come to the cafe pretty often.” “It’s true! Everything from the Bambunker tastes amazing, way better than any other cafe in Hermitopia,” says one of the heroes. From what I remember of the catalog of heroes I was given, the ones here are Seraphim, Tek, and Aether, the one that just spoke being Seraphim. “So, what can I getcha?” Scar asks the heroes. “We’ll have this, this, and this,” Tek says, pointing to each item on the menu. “Oooh, that's new, isn’t it? I wanna try that one!” says Seraphim. “Ok, lemon squares, mini apple and cherry pies, and chocolate covered macaroons coming right up!” I go behind the counter and grab each item, placing them in a branded paper bag. “Here you go,” I say, handing them the bag of sweets. “Have a nice day!” I watch them leave before starting on my favorite part of the day “Kitties! It’s lunch time!”
