Lauren smirked as Abbie groaned, knowing that feeling all too well. “Oh c’mon. A bacon sandwich wins over paperwork every single time. And the paperwork will still be there after the sandwich, but the sandwich may not be there after the paperwork,” she said with a smirk. She took the packet and nodded. “I need to grab a bottle of water to get some of these down me as soon as possible, meet outside when we’re done?” Once she got confirmation she grabbed a few other things and headed to the checkout, then loitered outside the store waiting for Abbie. She tried her best to look like she was simple waiting for someone but still attracted a few funny looks from passers by who clearly thought she was up to something.
“Ugh, alright,” Abbie groaned as if having to actually do anything was going to be a huge hassle. Picking up a packet of Advil for herself she made her way around the store and got what she needed before heading for the register to pay. She could see Lauren out the window and it was strangely tempting to wind her up a bit more by taking her time. There was a small queue though so by the time she had paid she made her way straight out, “Alright wise one, lead me to the grease.”
