now the woman talks out her ass. she was quite skilled in this, clearly.

she's not exactly wrong. pocket's silence earns her all the gratification that something is working. the fairfax kid wouldn't lie and say she was wrong; they had certainly *felt it. pocket remembered the whispers that had never been meant to reach their ears - the aura of sickness and *dread that seemed to loom around them and the others that got too close, the frogs that had followed arin no matter the atmosphere ⸺ it all *wore down on them; made them feel wrong.
arin fairfax was the black sheep ⸺ nearly a century removed from their family and the day they'd nearly died hadn't *diminished this feeling. they only felt *more out of place in a world that didn't quite belong to them. they were tired of a lack of knowledge; they were tired of being someone left *behind. they hum, running a hand through their hair before letting their shoulders sag.

a tough nut to crack, huh? adelaide could work with that - she'd dealt with far more infuriating folks over the years. the doctor was patient. infuriatingly patient. what jack grimm wanted, jack grimm got; and he wanted his hands on fairfax. the straw man would make it happen.

okay harley talking abt scarecrow IS SOOO GOOOOD YES YES YES YES SHES AN EVIL LYING MANIPULATIVE PSYCHOTIC BITCH. is anyone else actually keeping up with absolute because I need to see if anyone else also thinks the implication is going to be joker in absolute is Harley’s father. Alfred calls her devil spawn ( he knows abt joker ), her father is out of the picture in the latest preview, her mother is doctor arkham, who is joker’s assistant, and also in the preview it’s being implied that scarecrow is watching Harley and freaking her out and I think the only reason she wld even be doing tht within reason is if jack wanted her to.
