after lots of talking it over, me and fizz (@agentpunkfizz) have decided to go public about somthing that’s happened to fizz in a unofficial ieytd server. A lot of this is copied directly from what fizz has told me in dms and over text.

so, back in about late 2024, fizz joined a little discord server called the hive, it was a unofficial half ieytd server about the characters, mostly john juniper and hive mind. they were 14 at the time, and going into highschool. As far as I know everything went fine until early august.
So, early December the main person i’m going to mention, Firebird, was going to marry Dr. Zor in just a silly little ceremony in the server, no harm done and it was all just for laughs. They used a discord bot called marriage bot to do this, which can wed both bots (the dr zor bot) and real users, in a fun pretend way.
so a bit after the ceremony, fb (firebird) and fizz were talking together, fizz brought up a joke about marrying fb with the bot. At this point i think this marriage was just a joke, i didn’t really see anything wrong with this at the time, i did think it was a little weird a 18 year old and a 14 year old were in a pretend marriage but, i brushed it off and so did fizz
It really starts here with all the weird shit that happens, so throughout this “pretend marriage” firebird makes several very inappropriate jokes towards fizz, fizz played along with a few of them, but even if fizz laughed at them, making sex jokes towards a 14 year old as a LEGAL ADULT is gross.
in july fizz and fb “broke up” from the marriage bot, fizz took it as a joke, because they assumed the whole marriage thing was, you know, a joke. Firebird was incredibly pushy about why fizz wanted this though.
i know there was a whole group chat discussing this “divorce” more with another person, fb , and fizz but i don’t have any screenshots for that.
along with all this, they had 16 year olds drawing nsfw of them and zor, and a group in this server that was called “the reich cult” and the owner of this server had a role called “führer” if you don’t understand this, fürher was literally what adolf hitler called himself, and the reich was a term for nazi germany, reich meaning right, nazi germans being the third right or the third reich.
i don’t know what to make of any of this, fizz has reported them to discord twice now, and they’ve been too scared to tell anyone. Along with this all when I was in the server i got accused of “being fizz and trying to worm my way back into the hive server” I can say that while me and fizz are best friends, we are not the same person.

Dr. Cupid: They’re head doctor at the agency and annoyingly enthusiastic all the time. They’re also a double agent, and will sneak into zoraxis pretending to be a doctor to get information on their employees and plans.
Kayden and Elliot: Employees at a Zoraxis store, Kayden is the general manger, Elliot is a part time employee. Kayden works there to pay off her college, she’s attending to become a pharmacist, Elliot was forced to get a job by their father. Elliot found john juniper half dead in the alley way next to the store, Kayden kept him alive while elliot called the police.
can i ask what specifically you mean by the ieytd fandom miswriting ollie? genuinely curious, i haven’t engaged with his character much myself, so maybe i’m just not in the right circles to immediately know what you’re talking about. from what i’ve seen of people portraying him as kind+a bit silly is imo pretty close to canon since that’s his role in Hot Water, to help us and be comedic relief. but again i haven’t been deep into his pocket of the fandom, so i assume you’re talking abt something more specific and i’m curious to know what you mean
canonically, he is kind, yes. But the thing with this fandom is, (SOME) people take one character trait from a character, and run so far with it, they become horribly written and so one sided it becomes incredibly boring to read the character. Yes, ollie is kind, he's sort of a comedic relief? didn't really get any comedy from him but that could just be my dead sense of humor. The thing with the fandom writing him, is they take kind and turn it into incredibly dependent naive uwu soft boy who cant function. And ollix shippers make it incredibly dependent naive uwu soft boy who cant function WITHOUT their big strong phoenix. Yes, ollie can get help from phoenix, adults being able to ask for help from their friend/partner is very healthy! But dont make it so that ollie NEEDS someone. He's an adult, presumably very smart and well working to be able to man a whole zoraxis base by himself. This ties in with the "phoenix NEEDS Reginald" stereotype, Phoenix is a canonically mute/quiet character and the most common stereotype for a mute/quiet character is needing someone, being soft and not being able to function, and as someone with selective mutism, this is very weird to me. I cant and wont talk during school, or in public spaces, sometimes for days straight. But during those times I can still function, I can do my schoolwork, walk to my job and still do my job. My selective mutism needs help, but I dont rely on anyone so heavily for everything. Phoenix and Ollie are grown adults, they can be mute and have things they need to work through, but from a canonical standpoint, they can both still function like adults.
Yes you can give him issues, but dont make phoenix fix all his issues for him, Adults need to be able to work through their issues with help, not dumping them on someone else. Its really disheartening to people with these actual issues to write that basically the only way these people got through said issues is because someone else swooped in and fixed it for them. Working through issues is a process.
TLDR: If you want to write ollie in a serious sense for actual writing projects, make him complex with feelings and emotions and actual thoughts. People can have more sides than just kind. Dont make all your adult characters NEED someone. Make your adult characters actual adults.
