the way the buccaneers specifically gave theo guy’s personality from the books and then stripped the nuance from the original love triangle through this decision… only to be surprised no one roots for nan or guy in the show? that’s not even them. and then character assassinated LIZZY to try and give theo a purpose because they’re afraid to make him the villain… very weird decision making. like obviously no one wants guynan together they make terrible decisions and hurt theo endlessly. and lizzytheo just irks me because what about LIZZY AND HECTOR?? I get wanting to change the book whatever but they actively made their love triangle boring because there feels like there’s no real tension or stakes and they made their main characters just… insufferable.
