I'm still not over how absolutely fucking EXTRA the aesthetic in Event Horizon is. Like, it makes sense from a horror movie perspective- you gotta have a good Atmosphere(tm). But from an in universe perspective? It's fucking HILARIOUS

In universe, there's no need for Atmosphere(tm). The scientists and engineers who made the ship just decided to pick the weirdest, most ominous and foreboding aesthetic possible and went fucking HAM on it for absolutely no reason. And you know what? I respect them for that
