things i do for my puppy as an owner

(to keep us both comfortable & happy :))

i tell him when & what to eat : i tell him “eat in _ minutes” or “eat at <hour>” as he wouldn’t otherwise & i tell him what to eat so he doesnt have to make the decision for himself!

i correct him if he uses human terms for himself or tell him to “not talk like that”

i decide what he wears if he goes out

i praise him and give him treats if he takes care of himself / takes care of me (i have cptsd and other illnesses)

i get him to ask for permission to do pretty much everything : talk to people , to do something (ie get water) , etc!!

i let him communicate through barking / whining : i do know what he means and i respond back to him!

i tell him no a lot : if he doesnt want to get food No! he’s going to. if he thinks it’s playtime & it not Nuh uh!! if he asks me something i tell him no if thats the answer , if he’s chewing on something he isn’t supposed to No!!!

it is mandatory i let him help me if im struggling : he is my service dog as i have cptsd & physical disabilities and he knows when something is up without me telling him BUT !! i have to let him do his job !!

i picked out his collar for him

i picked most of his identities and gave him his name

i try to match his energy : i am not a very energetic person but he is the most energetic puppy ever (SO CUTE.) so if i am able to i match how he’s feeling and play with him !!

i train him to have very good manners : if i compliment him , let him do something etcetc he has to say “thank you” and if he doesnt i correct him and if he does he gets praise! :]

i make sure he feels safe and give him a space to just be a puppy with me : most important one !!! i make sure he is happy with himself and our relationship and that he feels he can share this part of himself with me as this is essential for all owners to do!! i reassure him he can be however he is and i love him even more for it :)

hi everycreature!!!! i've decided im gonna start making stimboards/moodboards for people or critters on here :3 it's totally free!!! here's the request format (request in ask box only)

character, creature, music artist, theriotype, historical figure, activist, actor, athlete, youruber, etc you want your mood board of (you can have up to three!!)

brief (or extensive) examples of the kind of aesthetic you want (example: the forest when it's foggy, scene core, western/cowboy themed, etc), (you can have up to two different aesthetics, three if they're similar in style like emo/scene/grunge or something!!)

give me whatever specific requests you want (example: using a specific picture in it, having a specific thing pictured, etc) please note: if there is a specific picture or gif you'd like me to include tag me in it, send it in my dms, or put it in your ask!!!! you can have as many as you'd like!!!

if this is a request from someone as a gift to someone else (or you just need to tag another account for whatever reason), include the username in the ask!!
