I only have myself to blame for this. A cartoonist on Instagram (Tails of Wit) posted a comic and I had to restrain myself to not make a crass ball joke. However, Spiff needed a vet trip and I utterly failed and gave in to temptation. Have some crass ball jokes.
(If you are unfamiliar, I posted "Spiff's Backstory" in December of 2024 to explain)
I thought it was a flattened piece of rubber that came off a car tire…but after Spiff grabbed it and I had to get close to it, I realized that it was an absolutely flattened/dried/rotten rabbit--that probably came off a car tire. 😱
The greatest honor of a pet parent is to scratch the places they cannot scratch!
If the dog that wants to eat month-old goose carcasses refuses to eat it, I will trust that his opinion is completely legit!
I could not help it--when the doctor said that we would have to go by trial and error, I got giddy because I HAD to know what Finn was allergic to. I even had multiple bags of "sensitive stomach" kibble on hand because I was already trying to find what he could eat without trouble.
Does anyone else get nervous about handing the lovely people at the reception desk a bag of poop? I know it is expected, I know they are prepared….but I STILL get twitchy about handing it to them.
I have determined that Spiff will likely not replace Dogtor Tazibel when the need arises…because in his heart, he is more of a "Traditional Medicine" kind of guy.
They don't understand disinfecting surfaces, they just want a comfortable place to sit while they feel sick. ^_^'
Rescue names become middle names in my book, so he still retains it. ^_^
It cannot be helped, I must let the sleeping dogs lie, right?
Does anyone else have a dog that is horribly offended when they see a human on a roof, or is it just mine?
Taz would frown at many of the things the boys do…but she would approve of their priorities. (I think a neighbor moved a trash can outside, which sent them on the offensive one morning)
I almost forgot…I live in Colorado, where there are critters that might eat me.
Last month, he found three snakes within a week. Thankfully, he is too spooked to try to eat them.
I only vaguely remember curling up around Finn because I unconsciously gravitate towards warmth. ^_^'
Finn has been good for about two months now, but Spiff is the best at locating "snacks." However, he largely has good judgement and has not gotten sick (yet). He also gets bonus points for sniffing out a dead bat and NOT trying to eat it.
